Great wine, great people, great atmosphere. Looking for a place to chill? Space for picnics, weddings. 40 knots staff are amazing. Highly recommend them.

Disappointing. Bought a $20.00 ticket to wine Wednesday with a band. Don't know why we bothered to buy a ticket as no one came to check or ask. We thought there would be appies included and or 1 glass of wine. Our expectations I guess were to high. Oh well, no need to go back.

Upd. I appreciate your response, but I find it frustrating when businesses try to justify poor service. I’ve attached a screenshot from my phone showing my calls made during your stated business hours. The first call went to an automated voice system, while the second redirected to management and then just produced beeps. Clients shouldn’t have to leave messages and wait for response in the case when they’re deciding on same-day attendance depending on weather conditions. Simply answering the phone during business hours would resolve the issue. Or just note in the announcement how the event depends on the weather: you're the outdoor facility with October's event. I don’t know Chef Avi Sternberg personally, and my message wasn’t meant it, I’ve wanted to try his cuisine for a while, but I’ll do so elsewhere, in a less toxic environment.

I attempted to reach you several times by phone (including forwarding by 5 to management) to confirm whether the Vines & Tides Harvest Dinner would be held indoors or outdoors, as this information is not specified on your website announcement. Unfortunately, I was unable to reach anyone for clarification and, as a result, had to decide not to attend.
Please extend my regards and appreciation to Chef Avi Sternberg.

When we arrived to pick up a bottle or two of wine, I waited in line behind a group that was tasting several bottles at the register. I waited a good 10 minutes just standing there. It actually started to get awkward because eye contact was made several times. I started to put the bottles back and go to a liquor store. It was only after 4 more groups came in and waited to check out that the person finally checked me out. We didn’t like the darker white wine, it was too acidic for us. Just a personal preference. But the Sieg was great, a very light white wine. Prices weren’t bad either. Besides waiting just to check out and the awkwardness, highly recommend their wine if you are in the area.

I had the opportunity to visit and enjoy this venue to see live entertainment and drink their delicious wine. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The grounds and buildings are stunning. If you get the chance, go and enjoy the warm and welcoming atmosphere. You will love it!

Very pleasant winery, with really friendly staff. Smooth tasting wines. Tasting comped with the purchase of a bottle.

I dont live in the area, but I'm very interested in trying even more of their varieties.

A really great experience. A beautiful venue hosted by wonderful hosts. The winery has you covered with a trolley bus if needed, local artisan snack foods, guided or self guided trails and more. Always lots of events happening to welcome you or your event.

Wine Wednesday
Big disappointment. $20 each for nothing. Expected cheese and bread at least for a wine tasting. Instead, a food truck with hot dogs, hamburgers and fries.

Such potential but not a classy situation.

Won’t be back

These vines have tender and young grapes!

My husband and I arrived here on a hot, sunny afternoon, just after lunch. Though the inside was air conditioned and the outside venues were shady and breezy, neither of us wanted to do a regular wine tasting with larger samples and local snacks. They had a smaller tasting with baby sips of four varieties. Just right for us. The last two were especially good so we bought a bottle of each.

The self guided tour outside was wonderful. Colourful displays. Lots of information. I now know, among other things, that hummingbirds, doves and yellow warblers are welcome here but starlings and robins are not.

I thought the winery was very nice and the wines have lots of potential. The only disappointment was the charcuterie style food which was served in plastic manufacturer original packaging as if off a grocery store shelf. It was very strange and took away from the overall experience.

Young winery but it lots of character and classy presentation. Amazing selection of wines that left me surprised about how a winery in the Island can have such quality and variety, due to the differences in weather and soil compared to the Okanagan. The grounds are also beautiful; you can sit and enjoy your wine or walk around a part of the vineyards.

We did the tasting at 3pm with Kat. She was very knowledge and friendly. Highly recommended even if you’re not a big wine drinker.

Just been to ' Jazz in the vineyard' in 40 Knots Winery. Cozy rustic setting, breeze in between the glass wall, geese marching along the tune of jazz. Gamay red wine has very clean taste. Perfect to wrap up another week..

Sustainable and clean practices here. Beautiful wine blends. Young winery but very sophisticated and classy presentation. Beautiful grounds that you can sit and enjoy, or walk around a short interperative trail. Definitely do the special pairing that is by reservation only at 3pm every day.
