We had the expertly cooked halibut and fresh, hand-made pasta. A place for those who value substance over unnecessary variety.

A focused menu is a sign of a kitchen confident in its craft, offering skillfully prepared plates of quality fresh ingredients.

It is wise to call ahead, as it is consistently busy.

Absolutely incredible dining experience! The chefs here are truly masters of their craft — every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can taste the passion and skill in every bite. From the appetizers to dessert, everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates top-quality food and outstanding culinary talent!

Food: A disappointingly small selection but what we ordered was delicious.
Food Presentation: The most beautiful presentation I’ve ever seen. The dishes were photo ready and decorated with gorgeous edible flowers. Tables were gorgeous. This would be a great restaurant for a fancy date or event.
Table Spacing And Privacy: The tables were spaced nicely and not crowded.
Service: The waitress was polite and had above excellent service. Food came fast.
The Atmosphere: Best view in the valley considering it overlooks the estuary from the Filberg Park.

WOW!! We had such a great experience working with Marc-Andre to create a special champagne toast for our wedding! From the first tasting, we enjoyed his kind, generous, and open-hearted approach. He was responsive to our emails and worked within our budget to create a beautiful finale to our ceremony at Filberg Heritage Park.

In the week following our wedding, we returned to Summer Kitchen for an absolutely delicious dinner in the cozy covered patio overlooking that glorious view. The food was beyond stellar, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend Summer Kitchen - rain or shine! It is our new favourite go-to restaurant!

This park and this restaurant were one of many things that made us fall for the valley. So much so that we moved here & will now be having our wedding at the summer kitchen!
Unbeatable view/venue, stunning elevated cuisine, and exceptional service every time!

Can’t believe we’ve never been to this ‘local gem’.
Walking into Filberg Park with its large old growth trees, beautiful landscaped gardens and greeted by a restaurant with tables, red umbrellas, lush grass and just a stones throw from the ocean ! Amazing.
We sampled several items and all were outstanding with notable mention to the tuna appy, Ling Cod and Fresh Pasta Spot Prawn main.
Casual elegance, great service and unforgettable experience……we certainly will be back. Thank you.

A friend and I went for lunch and had the pasta with prawns and a side salad. It was beautifully presented and the flavours were so layered and delicious. Service was great and we were able to speak to the chef which was a real treat. The venue has a view of the Comox Bay, so a lovely place to spend a few hours in the afternoon.

We stopped in for a quick cocktail and appetizer and ended up staying for dinner. The staff was super friendly, the cocktails and wine were refreshing, the food was absolutely delicious, and the view was spectacular! I would highly recommend stopping here when in Comox! We enjoyed everything we ate—tuna, tomato tart, white bean dip, and Cornish hen. We will definitely return.

We loved it here. Enjoyed the complex flavours of the vegetarian main, loved that they had a high chair and toddler cutlery for our little one to be included at the dinner table!

Service was very slow.
Food was “fancy” & expensive with small portions. Tasted good, if you can palate the prices.
Of course the garden setting is beautiful.

The food was very, very good, and the atmosphere is amazing. The service, however, was lacking. It was very rushed and abrupt, bordering on disrespectful. We weren’t provided with enough information about the food and the changes to the menu until it arrived. Had we known of the changes to the dishes we probably would’ve ordered something else. Again, very good food, but perhaps over priced. The service was not consistent for this caliber of restaurant.
