Great food and ambiance. They are one of the best eating establishments in Comox and surrounding area. I have eaten there so many times, I find however that I am getting a little to familiar with the menu. They might need to mix it up a little but that isn't a complaint. You won't go wrong if you are looking for a great culinary experience at Martines. In the summer, eating Al Fresco on their patio is particularly nice.

Excellent dinner with friends! We had calamari, clams, seafood linguine, ribs, feature fish & feature turkey schnitzel - everything was fresh, delicious & well presented. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Fabulous value for money spent!

Uninspired pasta dish as the only option for a plant-based entrée. It is dated, boring, pathetic and overpriced.Pasta is what we eat at home when we don't feel like cooking. At a Fine Dining establishment, I expect something more from professional chefs, especially when the prices are the same as the exquisitely prepared meat and fish dishes.Vegetarian options: Dated, uninspired pathetic pasta.

Rack of lamb done medium. Excellent. Waitress was surly, didn't ever crack a smile. And so slow I vowed not to return.

Excellent in food, service and atmosphere. Also, reasonable prices considering what is out there.

Service was attentive and friendly and atmosphere was nice. the drinks and wine selection was also great. Seafood linguene was generous and flavourful but the my only complaint is that the rack of lamb wasn’t a rack of lamb, it was thinly sliced and overdone lamb chops.Call me a meat snob, which I am and will own it; but a rack of lamb is just that - a frenched lamb rack with 8 or more ribs attached and the accompanying loin, not individual ribs with a 3/8 inch of meat to each of them which would be impossible to overcook to oblivion. My constructive criticism to the owner would be to up the price to $50 so he or she can afford to serve either a proper rack, or lamb chops (as in pieces 2 ribs with one bone removed so they are thick enough they can actually be cooked any temp other than well done)This lamb gave his life for me to enjoy eating it - he deserves better.

Went there on a date and had such a great time. Even though the food wasn't great (it was good) the service was amazing and the atmosphere was so incredible. The attention to detail and the care from their staff is very apparent. Whoever is managing the front is doing such a wonderful job. We felt so welcomed and cared for the entire night without being smothered.Bravo!

This is my go-to restaurant when I want to ensure a perfect meal with the special people in my life. My pork schnitzel was superb as were the accompanying julienned vegetables, braised red cabbage and exceptionally creamy garlic mashed potatoes. My dining companion enjoyed the duck breast and red wine pairing suggested by our server. Our Caesar salad appy was refreshingly light and not overdressed as is common in too many restaurants. Finally, the chocolate kahlua mousse was a glassful of sublime heaven. Service is always professional and never rushed.

In summary, food was fine, service was fine, in a nice venue.Vegetarian options limited and seemed a bit of an after-thought. Salmon cooked well and very tasty but overall, place just lacked a little spark for the price point.

Left disappointed. I can forgive the bad service (as they clearly had too few servers) and the fast that our choice of wine was apparently not available but when we got our food it was very sub-par. I had the lamb, dad had the steak - lamb itself was ok, but the sides were awful, vegetables frankly over salted and inedible, the mash lacked flavour and was gloopy. Apparently the steak was also pretty poor.Didn’t bother with dessert as didn’t see the point, there has to be better options in town than this.
