Its the airport...what can you do. You need food they are there. it is busy. Staff to busy for chatting. I get it. Ordering and pick up areas confusing. I felt fed after anyway.

Watched one staff member handle a big lineup and hot food orders, fancy coffees with grace and determination. Always positive and patient. Great work!

Very nice cafe at the airport. My sandwich and coffee were excellent. Staff were very professional and friendly. I wish they had a few more hot lunch choices on their menu but lots of great options nonetheless.

Best airport food you could ask for! I travel a lot and I always get my lunch here cause it is better than transit airports. Always friendly too!

Tables were not clean , asked for an apple turnover thrice and was basically ignored . Will be intentional about not spending my dollars there.

this is the WORST job and the WORST cafe in the comox valley. this place doesn't make anything from scratch, they buy almost everything from costco. the only thing they "make" is the scones from a premade scone mix and also muffins. with no surprise, also from a premade mix. the apple strudel, croissants, cookies.. all from costco. the puff wheats and rice kirspys are yes made in the establishment but, are warmed up in a microwave in a plastic bowl to melt the butter and whatever (mmmmm.. microplastics). the sandwiches are made by people who don't wear gloves or wash their hands, the ingredients put into some of these sandwiches are past the best before dates. the coffee made is so severely watered down yet we still have to serve it out of a never cleaned coffee pot and customers constantly will complain about it (which is 100% understandable). all the food that they sell is usually not fresh daily. all the chocolate bars, etc are bought in bulk from dollarama and the owners charge a God awful amount for them (0.91$ for 1 from dollarama $2.50-3 for 1 bar from this establishment). the owners are greedy nickle pinching snakes. who DO NOT CARE about their wonderful staff (they know who they are). the owners of this place are always watching and listening to all the employees that work there with cameras that have built in microphones. they LOVE to gaslight people and their employees. it's one of Racheal's (one of 2 owners) favourite hobbies actually. they withhold tips from new employees who 100% deserve them. meanwhile customers who tip think they get them. WRONG!! when asked about them withholding tips, they makeup something new every time. one day it's because the person isn't working hard enough. one day it's because it's not fair to the rest of the staff. they change their reason everyday and legally.. they cannot withhold tips from their employees. one of the "managers" will always disappear whenever there are rushes to go "shopping" or going leaving the cafe entirely.. and the other "manager" is very two faced when handling even the tiniest bit of stress. the amazing employees that do work here are constantly walking on eggshells. always been watched and scared to make one wrong move scared that they'll lose their jobs. if you're looking for a place to work or to give business to.. stay away from this one! go to somewhere that actually cares about what they sell and cares about their staff + if you're looking for a good place to enjoy coffee and goods.. go somewhere else that loves to do what they do!! there's lots of places in the comox valley that 1000% better. and no Racheal, I'm not confused. you're the one who is in fact so deep in delusion you're not only confusing yourself and lyle, but you're also confusing and lying to amazing customers.🥱

By far the worst airport cafe I've ever been to. I'll make sure to pick up breakfast before next time. You reply why 1 star..seriously? You cant see your food options are garbage??

Friendly folks who seem to get a lot of hassle from people with too much money. I had a beer and a toasted sandwich - both were delicious - as I watched the self-entitled fishermen go through with barely a please or thankyou. Unusual to find a great little place as this at such a small airport.

Finding a gluten free breakfast on the go is always difficult, but in airports it’s next to impossible. On The Fly has the most delightful gluten free spanakopitas though and I was shocked! They also have oat and almond milk for drinks and they are so kind and genuinely happy. Made for a very happy celiac :) thank you.
