We tried Frying Apron’s Chicken flavour dog treat on our 4month doodle pup and he almost Flew Over the Moon because it was so tasty! I think the freshly baked oats and other wholesome ingredients make this a well rounded and delicious treat for our dog. We ordered it as part of the delivery package from the pet store next door. Our problem is now…how to get our next batch to us in Vancouver without visiting the island ?

This cafe has the sweetest people you will ever meet working here. I lost my wallet and I was going to grab a latte before my physio appt... Obviously couldn't buy it. I have been going to the Kaylas bakery weekly since it opened. I am of a certain vintage( retired) and never think to post a review. I just talk about this great bakery in Comox called The flying Apron. Beautiful pastries, cookies,cakes, breads...and always a new surprise. The staff are kind courteous friendly and knowledgeable. The owner, Kayla is ultra creative, friendly, focused and very very community oriented. We are so fortunate to have such a brilliant, talented pastry chef in our little community. This has become my favourite place for coffee! Their baked goods and pastries are very fresh and recently I ordered the chocolate raspberry cake and it was so delicious! The staff make it special though. Arlene and Sion you ladies rock! It would be great if seat cushions were available for the outdoor chairs. Also I find the inside can be noisey (cement floors, high ceilings, coffee machine noise). Any way you can buffer some of that noise? What about hanging textured rugs on the walls for décor rather than the art for sale? Just a thought! I believe a lot of people would appreciate that.
