Found this little gem on a quick drive to get out of the office. Needed a destination, so a coffee was it. I walked into althenshop and the staff was so welcoming and they had treats that turned a tough day into a one with some joy. I have gone in a few more times this summer and have not been disappointed. A great little gem with good coffee, great treats, and amazing staff. High recommend to stop by if you are in Comox.

We ordered a Gluten Free birthday cake for my daughter and it was absolutely FANTASTIC!! Our guests couldn't even tell it was gluten free! So so many compliments! Ordering was easy peasy, staff were so friendly at pickup and the cake was absolutely amazing!! Way to go Flying Apron, a customer forever!

We tried Frying Apron’s Chicken flavour dog treat on our 4month doodle pup and he almost Flew Over the Moon because it was so tasty! I think the freshly baked oats and other wholesome ingredients make this a well rounded and delicious treat for our dog. We ordered it as part of the delivery package from the pet store next door. Our problem is now…how to get our next batch to us in Vancouver without visiting the island ?

This cafe has the sweetest people you will ever meet working here. I lost my wallet and I was going to grab a latte before my physio appt... Obviously couldn't buy it. One of the lovely ladies ran my order out to me regardless because they knew I was having a tough day. Thanks so much, Flying Apron!! ❤️❤️
Everything here has such unreal presentation, as if it was made to be photographed, but of course it was delicious too. My dog loved their treats as well!

I have been going to the Kaylas bakery weekly since it opened. I am of a certain vintage( retired) and never think to post a review. I just talk about this great bakery in Comox called The flying Apron. Beautiful pastries, cookies,cakes, breads...and always a new surprise. The staff are kind courteous friendly and knowledgeable. The owner, Kayla is ultra creative, friendly, focused and very very community oriented. We are so fortunate to have such a brilliant, talented pastry chef in our little community.
