Super Friendly staff. Absolutely the best baked goods in town! My friends go regularly to meet up for a beverage and we all feel like they’re family here at the Flying Apron!

This bakery lands somewhere in the middle... solid enough if you’re passing by, but not quite strong enough to plan your day around. Things can be inconsistent, some feel a bit tired and others are genuinely great.
The building is beautiful, bright, and genuinely inviting. The service, like the food, varies. Some days you get warmth other days you feel like you’ve stepped into the room at exactly the wrong moment.
As for the owner, she has a reputation the precedes herself and the only thing certain is that people talk.
If you’re here for the baked goods, stick to the known winners.

Kayla hosted The Scottish Women’s Curling Tour To Canada. Coffee and treats were perfect.

Such a cute spot. My favourite bakery in the valley, I always take friends visiting from out of town here. The croissant sandwiches here are to die for and then I always bring something home for later.

Found this little gem on a quick drive to get out of the office. Needed a destination, so a coffee was it. I walked into althenshop and the staff was so welcoming and they had treats that turned a tough day into a one with some joy. I have gone in a few more times this summer and have not been disappointed. A great little gem with good coffee, great treats, and amazing staff. High recommend to stop by if you are in Comox.

We tried Frying Apron’s Chicken flavour dog treat on our 4month doodle pup and he almost Flew Over the Moon because it was so tasty!
I think the freshly baked oats and other wholesome ingredients make this a well rounded and delicious treat for our dog.
We ordered it as part of the delivery package from the pet store next door. Our problem is now…how to get our next batch to us in Vancouver without visiting the island ?

Love what you do, so does our pup Ciorba.

THis bakery is Comox best kept secret. Their americano coffee is the best, their baked good innovative and delicious. Wish them the best.

Not a week goes by that my partner and I miss the weekly croissant...and probably more than a dozen gluten free cheese buns!
