It’s kind of like pizza…even when it’s bad, it’s still ok. That’s my take on this place. Hit or miss. Not “bad”…but lots of room for improvement. We have had really good donuts here, and ones that I would not have again. Dirty Ol’ Grizzy today was stale and lacking in flavour. If it had been awesome, no issue with the cost…but it was not awesome. And it was expensive. Bakery inside the actual market/grocery store had far superior sweet treats this visit.

Don’t bother stopping in the afternoon because selection is slim and unappealing. If they were smart they’d focus on offering the top 12- 15 flavours and ditch the rest.

I was a little bit nervous about buying donuts here after reading some recent reviews but we had a great experience! We arrived at 10:30am on Thu, Sep 19 and the donut shop was fully stocked. No line up outside (a couple ahead of us inside) and everyone was moving through quickly. The woman who served us was very kind, offered suggestions when we asked for them and provided great service. Best of all, the donuts were fresh and flavourful! We got an assortment of the more cake-y ones, light ones and a stuffed one - all were delicious!

This place smelled amazing and yeasty but I wouldn't say their donuts lived up to it. They didn't taste fresh. I had something similar to a caramel Boston creme and I'd rather have Tim Hortons - even the chocolate on top tasted weird.
We had heard so many great reviews of the doughnut shop. We made the trip to enjoy them and were pretty dissatisfied. After reading the recent reviews this isn’t a one off. The doughnuts were definitely from the day before and stale. The lady operating the till was impatient when we were trying to pick our six pack from their very limited supply of doughnuts after seeing all the amazing doughnuts advertised outside. Not sure if she is not invested in being there anymore or what is going on but overall an unpleasant experience.

Super rude Service. We drove all the way from port alberni for my daughters birthday. They are open at 10, and we arrived at 10:20 there was none of the specialty donuts out (basically over half the selection was missing). I was suprised and asked "do you know when the donuts will be out?" And she looked up with disdain from her texting and said extremely rudely, "um, when they are done".

Went there this morning and they did not have all there donuts out. I go there just for them. When I asked approximately the time they would be out she quit rudely Said they would be out when there out. I explained that I would be driving back and she then snapped and said they will all be out by one. I did not catch her name but she was wearing a tye dye shirt. She needs to learn customer service skills. Maybe don't open until all stock is out so people do waste there time and gas to come to you to find out you only have half (if that) of the stock.
