“I popped in just after closing, hoping I could still get a bucket of chicken and some hot wings for my hungry girl and I. The young fellow at the counter said he would check. He conferred with the cooks and came back saying no problem with a smile on his face! I appreciate them accommodating us as i spent over two decades in a kitchen and the last customers were not always your favourite after a long shift. Delicious fried chicken cooked up fresh from the Colonel's kitchen. Fries were hot and crisp. Gravy drinkable. Love the slaw, cabbage carrot bits and the sweet, tangy dressing are perfect flavour and texture working well at balancing the grease, salty, 11 herbs and spices crispiness coming from the chicken. Polite staff with a good sense of humour! I recommend this KFC. The attached gas station is convenient as well.”

“The best pizza I have had in a very long time. Salt Pizzeria make one of my favourites…pizza fungi!! And they box it with a piece of corrugated cardboard under the crust so it doesn’t get soggy in the box. Many other types so I have to go back!!!”

“I'm so happy we found this place! Super cute inside. Bright, happy, colorful. The baker is friendly and fun. She helped us find the perfect goodies for our time in Parksville. We tried a lot, ha! Chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cheesecake, lemon curd cheesecake, cinnamon bun cheesecake, churro cheesecake, brownie bites, lemon cupcake, and I think that's it. Everything was spectacular. Great cheesecake texture and balanced flavors. The brownie was rich with a crunchy little crust. The cookies were buttery and filled with chocolate. Everything citrus struck the perfect balance of sweet and tart. AND, the owner gave us advice on things to see in town. We drove to Little Mountain and took a photo with the view and bakery treats. You will love this bakery!”

“I've been here a few times now and have really enjoyed it every time. They have a wide selection on their menu but easy to navigate and understand (unlike many bubble tea places). My drinks were delicious and the staff has always been very lovely too.”

“First time there tonight July 1-2023to celebrate birthdays. Alley the owner was so gracious and had the best personality!! The food was absolutely delicious! We started with crab cakes they were so good! Then I had the seafood pasta the amount of scallops prawns was awesome they definitely weren't skimpy on the seafood and the presentation was great! Then the dessert we had a free birthday dessert which was the sticky date pudding with vanilla ice cream! The service was good, friendly, fast and the establishment was clean! Highly recommend this place ❤️”

“It was Easter weekend and we had no idea what we were going to do. So we went for a drive and my Girl, aka copilot was searching her phone for a place to stop for a snack and a beer. She came across Fern and Cedar, I asked if we were heading in their direction and as luck would have it we were minutes away. For a busy day, we were seated immediately...awesome.The Waite staff were wonderful, the beers were very tasty and the cheese burger and cod and chips were stellar. We shall return in summer and sit outside.”

“Best freshly made food! We are hooked. Waitresses are always friendly and very fast! One waitress takes care of whole restaurant. Including takeout and are extremely efficient! We never wait more than 5 or so minutes for our meal. Spicey chicken stir-fry and wor wonton, Hot and sour soup are a few of our favorites! It's an older restaurant but very clean. We love going there and so do our out of town friends! Very reasonably priced with large portions!”

“A friend and I had lunch there and enjoyed two wonderful and satisfying meals. My friend had the non vegetarian special (she chose butter chicken) and I had chicken tandoori. The latter was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My usual experience is that tandoori chicken can be a bit dry, but not here. It was fresh, tender and juicy! I had a taste of my friend’s butter chicken and found it delicious, though a tiny bit sweeter than I’m used to. Both portions were generous and the prices very reasonable.”

“What a wonderful bakery! I have been a number of times to enjoy the sausage rolls, absolutely delicious. The pastry is light and flakey and the filling is perfect. Today, along with some sausage rolls I indulged in a slice of blueberry cheesecake and also lemon feather cake. Devine!!!! Not only is there a huge selection to choose from ( very hard to pick as it all looks so good) but the owners are so very kind. The only hitch is that if you go, you may not get a table during peak hours. This place is busy because it’s good.”
