“4 of us went there last week (2 from Comox and 2 from Nanaimo) and the food was incredible. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. We just wish we weren’t so rushed, it really took away from our night out. We were told we only had 1.5 hrs which was no problem. She reminded us continuously throughout the meal and after an hr asked us if we were ready for our bill. We told her we were thinking about having a dessert (which was pre-made) and she sighed and looked at her watch! She brought the dessert and we scarfed it so fast and just got out of there. We tipped well because who knows if the pressure was coming from the kitchen, but we left with 20 mins to spare and a whole lot of empty tables there. Recommend if you aren’t meeting others and are in a hurry.”

“On our way up to Campbell River last week, we pulled into Weinberg's Good Food a local general store + grocery + café tucked behind the gas station by the Buckley Bay – Denman Island ferry terminal. ⁣ I call a lot of places “hidden gems,” but this one literally is! They’ve somehow fit local produce, unique imported products you won’t find in big grocery stores, locally crafted goods and a mini café to grab a drink and snack for the road, all into a cozy little space. ⁣ If you’re driving north toward the Comox Valley or Campbell River, take a quick pit stop to refuel (you and the car)!”

“I met up with a friend from out of town at happy hour at QBC and was blown away at the service we got. Naden was so friendly and seated us promptly. “I just wanted to say, my girlfriend invited me for Thanksgiving dinner, of which was ordered from the shady rest restaurant, and I have to tell you it was absolutely wonderful. The dinner was everything you wanted within a Thanksgiving dinner. The flavours were wonderful. I will say your pumpkin pie was just perfect.The homemade cranberry sauce was tremendous, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who prepared this meal to allow us to be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner.
