“Excellent coffee. It is a roaster and not really designed for the cafe scene. It’s in an old service station and when you get your coffee, there are just a couple tables and a few old rattan chairs to sit on by the old pumps. No one else was there so we got the two chairs with cushions that rocked. The coffee was excellent and brought to our table by a friendly young woman. We sat back, watch the highway go by and soaked up the sun. It was perfectly unpretentious and a peaceful break from cycling. Highly recommended. When I’ve used up my Creekmore’s beans (just up the road) I will mos def go to Karma for my next pound of espresso beans.“
“Really nice, friendly coffee shop. Easy to access with street parking out front and a few parking spaces at the back off West 2nd Street. The staff are gracious even when very busy, and the beautiful courtyard tucked away at the back has lovely seating and landscaping. My scone was fresh and delicious. My cappuccino was nice but not excellent. I would rate it a 7/10. It was closer to a latte in strength and it had chocolate sprinkled on top (not what coffee snobs like me expect). The only other drawback was the easy-listening rock music (playing at a moderate volume). They did turn it down at my request but it was turned back up after five minutes. I would have preferred just to sit quietly listening to the birds. But don’t let those two minor points deter you from visiting: it’s a lovely spot and I’ll certainly be back.“
