“From the moment we entered Bistro 694 we knew we were in a special place. We were greeted warmly by Nancy, one of the owners, (Doubling as our incredible server) and led to a lovely window table with soft candle lighting and pleasing background music. It got even better from here! We were treated to complimentary warm bread, butter, balsamic dip and olives, including delicious gluten free bread for me. Our choice of an appetizer was to share a regular sized Caesar salad. It was absolutely the best Caesar I have ever tasted, with home made dressing, the perfect amount of fresh parmesan cheese with the croutons on the side for my husband. Our dinners were served piping hot, with mine being the decadent and delicious Chicken with Walnuts and Gorgonzola, every vegetable cooked to crisp perfection. My husband enjoyed the equally delicious Linguine Prosciutto. My only disappointment is that we had not experienced this fabulous Bistro before this time. If I could score higher than 5 I would! “In a crazy busy morning due to widespread power outage the restaurant was hoppin as many of us were looking for coffee & breakfast!! The staff n servers were absolutely incredible staying organized n calm n friendly!! The food arrived hot n was absolutely delicious!! Amazing job in the midst of a crazy busy morn! “Specifically reviewing the coffee roasting. Blown away by FP's base Ethiopian. Beautiful aromatics, soft edges, mellow acidity considering how bright this roast is. Not surprised to read about their victory with a different Ethiopian roast. Kicking myself for having walked past French Press before...“
“I met up with a friend from out of town at happy hour at QBC and was blown away at the service we got. Naden was so friendly and seated us promptly. Maiah came by and checked on us a couple of times even with us not being one of her tables. Just an all around amazing experience. Oh and the bubbly was delicious!! Thank you!!“

“Really nice, friendly coffee shop. Easy to access with street parking out front and a few parking spaces at the back off West 2nd Street. The staff are gracious even when very busy, and the beautiful courtyard tucked away at the back has lovely seating and landscaping. My scone was fresh and delicious. My cappuccino was nice but not excellent. I would rate it a 7/10. It was closer to a latte in strength and it had chocolate sprinkled on top (not what coffee snobs like me expect). The only other drawback was the easy-listening rock music (playing at a moderate volume). They did turn it down at my request but it was turned back up after five minutes. I would have preferred just to sit quietly listening to the birds. But don’t let those two minor points deter you from visiting: it’s a lovely spot and I’ll certainly be back.“
