“Love the curry beef but the the old hag working there is horrible, I don't normally leave a tip for pick up orders but I figured the food is good but not again. She has yet to thank me for the tips. I'm not cheap and always give 20%. Never has she thanked me. The woman who retired when covid hit was amazing. She used to joke about about delivering to my home in Vancouver by paddling her canoe, lol. Night and day with customer service“

“We stopped in on our vacation to British Columbia at Ladysmith to have breakfast. Wild Poppy was our choice . I felt like I was in heaven seeing all the gluten and dairy free choices. The food was excellent and the staff super friendly . I was hoping the Wild Poppy Market would open a store in Sault Ste. Marie , Ontario. What a blessing that would be. Thank you“

“The only thing disappointing about this cafe is the fact that it isn’t open 24/7.
Amazing space, wonderful and knowledgeable staff, and incredible quality products.10/10 every time I go in. Will be making a point of frequenting this lovely shop more often.“
“This is the place to be in town. It's packed and lively chatter fills the air. Everyone over 40. It feels like a community of active lively friendly people. Ithink that is more what the attraction is to coming here , than the food. The bakery items are good and the coffee is rich.“
“Had the best roasted chicken sandwich todah. Ty“

“A friend that is a regular suggested to go there for brunch. I was pleasantly surprised. The crew was really nice and food came in very fast, even when they were quite busy at that time.
The restaurant was nice but starting to feel the pass of time. Still a good option for breakfast and brunch. Note they don’t open on Sundays and close early.“

“Great friendly service, super coffee!! Oh, & they're open late for us working people!!!“
“I just read the ingredients on the coconut crisp cookies purchased from sweet meadows market, and I am so impressed at the quality and the realness of these cookies. Sincere thanks for making and selling these cookies.“
“I certainly don't share in some of these other petulant reviews. Ive often had the "full breakfast" at Connections and found the food to be fresh, tasty, nicely cooked and hot. The coffee tastes fresh and acceptable. The staff are always courteous and accomodating. Try buying a breakfast in downtown Nanaimo and you will pay 20% more than Connections and you will have to wait longer and probably stand in a lineup to order.
Parking: Affordable parking“
“a little bit of this and a little bit of that - a great spot to grab a snack while shopping.“

“Stopped here a few times during our visit to the island. Great quirky little place that is obviously very popular. On the whole the food we had on all visits was excellent. Really fresh, interesting flavours, and loads of choice that was all pretty decent value for money. However, I was a bit dissapointed by the oatmeal. I'll admit that I am fussy about how I have mime and maybe it's just how you guys have it over here in Canada....but for this reason I specifically asked if it was made with milk...which I was told it was (even though seemed odd that it also then came with a side of a milk of your choice)
...it was 100% made with water and was pretty tasteless and gross.
We came in with our 6month old. She puts everything in her mouth and likes to chew the edge of the tables so we've taken to wiping them down first. All the times we came the wipes were pretty grey from wiping the tables, even first thing in the morning. A minor gripe that probably won't really make much of a difference to whether or not you're going to visit here! Unless you too are planning to suck the tables.
All in all. Don't eat the tables. Avoid the oatmeal unless you're weird and also like yours made with water. But otherwise stop in for some lovely fresh tasting and varied food.“
