“This Xmas wasn't an option to cook Xmas dinner so we searched for an alternative. The Lantzville Pub was preparing Xmas dinner to take out. Decision was easy. It was one of the best Xmas dinners ever. Light and dark meat turkey, dressing, potatoes, brussel sprouts, carrots and squash along with gravy and cranberries. There was enough left over (for both of us) for turkey sandwiches for lunch today! We were told by one of the staff that the kitchen staff did the whole thing. They deserve a huge round of applause for all their work and good food. We visit this Pub fairly often so this is one more time that we will probably make it a point of visiting again. Thanks to all for making our Xmas special and all the best to all of you for the New Year. See you soon!!!!”

We tried most of the Korean options in Nanaimo including the newest in the North end and I have to admit, we are lucky the Korean options here are very good but @Danpung_momiji310 is absolutely the best. it is excellent. delicious, fresh, authentic, friendly, fast. Can't say enough about it. We will frequent others but this will be our "go to" from now on. You won't be disappointed.”

“Best meal I’ve ever had! The service was amazing and the food top notch. The menu is vast, something for everyone. Our table had baked salmon in marinara sauce with mozzarella cheese and penne Alfredo as well as the Greek Platter for two. Every bite was delicious. The chef came out to every table to inquire about the meal. I would 100% recommend this restaurant. Bravo Alexandra’s!”

“Red Swan Pizza Nanaimo We decided to try Red Swan after someone posted on FB and we quite enjoyed their pizza! They have some great regular combos and specials, decent prices, & friendly staff on pick-up. We ordered online which was really easy with all the choices to build the pizzas up or down, add special requests, do half toppings if needed, and choose the pickup time! They were prompt and the restaurant was clean with a typical minimal seating pizza style space. The man serving at the front said they have been open for 6 months now and it's a Prairie Franchise that has grown in SK and AB. We tried both crusts and really enjoyed the flavours of both of the pizzas we got - "All Meat" with Traditional Crust and "Tuscan" (chicken) with Thin Crust. The toppings were plentiful and our pizzas were baked to our satisfaction. Another nice touch was the sesame seeds on the crust (optional)!! We also decided to try the nachos which have lots of toppings and great flavour but aren't a super great choice for take-out only because they don't stay as hot and fresh as we would have liked (should have re-baked them) and the cheese ends up sticking to the paper so you have to pick it off. Overall, we'd def order from here again and recommend to others.”

The bread tasted amazing, nice thick bacon (not only two but three pieces at that!) got unexpected little side of hash browns which really topped it off. - my Moms avocado was hard :( bummer - personally disliked the orange juice Other than that I had a 10/10 breaky and service was excellent”

“My girlfriend and I went in for a late breakfast/early lunch. It was lovely. The ambiance is bright and warm, the people working were personable, friendly and efficient. The menu selection was exactly what you would expect from a breakfast nook and our food was great. I had the two eggs with toast and a side of bacon, and my friend had an omelette. I will definately be back!”

“Went for a late lunch, my first time, a very busy place, if they take reservations, get one! So we sat at the bar. I Ordered a incredible Blueberry Makgeolli Gin Fizz! which put an Immediate smile on my face! and as a ceviche snob, this had to be the freshest, most wonderful ceviche, I've had in a long time! I loved the deep fried wonton chips they used ( light not greasy). The Banchan-side dish was ok, and I liked the Rainbow Mini Kimbap. But the FULL portion, of Korean Fried Chicken with Yangyum glaze, could have fed an army and was SO GOOD I just couldn't stop eating! the bill was about $80-90 for two but we ate two more meals with that Delicious KFC!!! (Korean Fried Chicken)Most definitely not the Colonel's!”

“I've had a couple of solid experiences with Rusted Rake. Their brewpub focuses on locally sourced ingredients which is great and skews towards a smaller more curated menu. Couple of minor complaints leaves it short of 5 stars mainly - lack of reservations makes it difficult to get in some times (it's good it is busy!), only having two bathroom stalls can lead to lineups and while the beer is reasonably priced and quite good, the food skews pricey. The chowder is great with a big portion while the gluten free vegan options were better now than they were last year (hummus is a good add). The main dining room is loud and buzzy but can be difficult for those who have trouble hearing. All in all a great add to the area!Vegetarian options: One main veg / vegan / gf main - the falafel - which is a solid option. Other smaller apps as well.”

“The owners and staff are totally on top of their game. Great food drink and laughter. Go there you will see us there at least twice a week. “A staff favourite! There is something on the menu for everyone. We recommend the stuffed mushroom caps and the fresh pastas, but have enjoyed exploring many dishes here. Absolutely charming outdoor seating with plenty of vibrant flowers. Great cocktails and food presentation, attentive staff, and an intimate and cozy atmosphere that pairs well with smaller business meetings and date nights.”

“Delicious food and generous portions. Always great service and welcoming attitude. I have tried many items on the menu--usually with chicken (big tender bites) swimming in curry with hot fresh naan. I have tried Jalfrezi, vegetable and paneer pakoras, butter chicken, masala and the house curry--so good. The lassi rice pudding is tasty too. The restaurant is cozy, simple and always cleanly The price is reasonable. You won't be disappointed.”
