My story begins with Ayam Zaman restaurant and ends because I’m 100% not going back again.
I was thinking a lot about if I should leave a review or not, but I decided that it's my duty to keep people healthy because it’s a serious health hazard. I’m talking about the quality of food and clean.
The first time I visited this restaurant was Dec 28th, 2024. It was 10/10 excellent.
then I went back again after a couple of months and it was 6/10.
But yesterday Sep 10th, 2025 was 0/10 the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in Canada.
The shawarma sandwich and chicken were super bad, moldy and smelly. The chicken tasted very bad and moldy.
Even the cucumbers were old, maybe from poor storage. My friend’s spoon was dirty, they didn't clean it well, I don’t know about the others spoons and dishes in the kitchen.
I took detox drink to clean my stomach and colon.
The service guy was kind yesterday
I hope the restaurant continues to be as good as it was before in terms of food quality because before it was amazing and clean.
I really hope people won't get sick or get food poisoning in the future.

This was honestly the WORST restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The food was completely unacceptable. • The shawarma sandwich was disgusting — I’m certain the meat was rotten, it smelled terrible, and there was even fungus inside the sandwich. Absolutely unsafe to eat. • The koubeh plate was just as bad. The salad was clearly old, the cucumber looked spoiled, and to make things worse, we actually found a hair inside the dish.
This food is not just bad — it’s a serious health hazard. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences ever! We went with our friends and everyone truly enjoyed it! The family platter was huge and bursting with flavor the kebabs were perfection and the chicken tawouk was out of this world. Every side, from the mutabal to the tabouleh, was fresh and delicious, and even the fries and rice were served in generous family-sized portions. On top of that, they serve fresh bread straight from the traditional oven, warm and fluffy, which made the meal even more special. The service was outstanding, the restaurant spotless, and the music created the perfect vibe to enjoy the food. This place is an absolute must-visit highly recommend to anyone who loves amazing food and a great atmosphere!

the food is soo good. the original Syrian taste😍😍😍 we ordered: mix plate, fattah beef they were both so good . the portion is more than expected ❤️ konafa small is so tasty ❤️❤️ the Arabian vibes were so missed 🥺🥺❤️ you only need to work on the service quality.. honest advice: let the waiters get some training they need it to deserve 5 stars ⭐️ 😉

We ordered the Iskender Kebab, it came with a very small amount of meat, and the bread and meat were very salty. We also ordered the samosas, and it is a very small portion for the price and also extremely salty. The service wasn’t horrible, but the food was. We also ordered a side of rice and it was quite hard.

We recently visited the restaurant today. It was just me and my wife, and we ordered the Sikandar kebab and the chicken shawarma platter (both chicken and beef). Unfortunately, both dishes turned out really dry, which was quite disappointing. The service was also a bit slow, and nobody checked in to ask how our food was. We didn’t even get plates until we specifically asked for them.
Overall, the experience wasn’t great. We had been curious to try this place for a while, but it didn’t live up to expectations. I would rate it 6 out of 10, and honestly, we’re not likely to return.

We went here on a weekday night. There were hardly any people. There was just one server and it was extremely slow. As soon as we entered we noticed that the music is super loud so we asked to sit outside. However the speaker on the patio was even louder than the one inside.
The food was really good but the slow service and the music volume really killed the vibe for us.

Food was great and didn't take long to arrive at the table but the service needs a lot more attention, that's why not all 5 stars. There was only one server who forgot the basic cutlery and napkins. We had to wave frantically to get his attention and still he would signal from afar that it would be one more minute! And then it would take another couple of minutes to get the thing we asked. Another thing was super high volume music blasting from the speakers everywhere and a couple of songs were deafeningly loud. I almost had a thought that they are trying to get lower reviews somehow.
