Big Way Hot Pot (Coquitlam)

Horrible, don't waste your money.

Went to bigway for the first time today and Brycen and Nikki gave the best customer service and was super efficient with everything and I was so happy with my first time experience. Defo gonna come again

Amazing service and great food! Especially with Brycen and Nikki, was my first time here and they were very helpful at the front desk!! Food came out very quick too and not that long of a wait!! Totally recommend!!

I'll start by saying: The hotpot tastes good.

But;
The service is amongst the worst Ive ever seen.

-They will leave trash on the floor during service.

-The lack of communication between employees ends up with someone cleaning a table for you while a different employee grabs a different group to seat them at your table.

-The music is very loud its impossible to relax or talk while eating

-The overall cleanliness of the whole place is very poor.

-It's a gamble on if you'll feel sick after or not

-Feels like the staff are wanting you to sit down, eat as fast as possible and leave ASAP. Maybe that's why the music is extremely loud?

-To me, hair in my food is no big deal, it happens. But multiple times in a row? Unacceptable.

I have tried various big ways in the lower mainland. I have been to the Coquitlam centre location before but my most recent visit I had time to kill so went when they opened at 10:30 am. There was a weird smell upon entering the restaurant, it was a bit off putting like an old wet smell. I selected the spinach noodles as usual and they were very gluey in the soup. The tray was also dirty once dropped off to me. I could not tell if it was from my soup bowl or if it hadn’t been cleaned before it was given to me. Usually I have had good experiences and this was a one off. I’d try again but hope they can improve the cleanliness a little.

The food here is always refreshing after a long day of work, school, or volleyball. I always enjoy the service specifically from nikki and brycen! Keep it up guys!

I love big way at every other location besides this one. I have come to this location a few times, the service is super hit or miss, food is consistently mid, and the cleanliness has quickly plummeted since they first opened... But today was a different story. It has genuinely smelled like stinky socks the last 2 times that I have visited, and I overheard other people around me commenting on the smell, so I know it wasn't just me (its gotta be those grinch green rags that swipe every surface). OK THEN, got my food, my spoon was greasy and when I wiped it with the napkin, the white napkin was orange, uhhhh like yuck. A wonderful worker grabbed me a new spoon and everything was cool, drink on the way, clean spoon, chillin... or so I thought. Get this, I waited 25 minutes for an iced green tea with boba. Bro there's no way that can take that long when there's 5 other tables in the restaurant. Annnyways, eventually got the drink, when I was almost done eating. Was back to chillin because I knew that I was getting freeee ice cream! ... or so I thought. I was finished eating, arms crossed, doing everything I could to make sure the severs knew I was done and ready for the best part of the big way experience. Then I sat there, holding onto the hope that someone may notice me. 5 minutes go by, then 10, then 15, no one checked on us. I look at my friend across from me, we both shrug and decide that we cannot let big way take anymore of our time, and had to get up and go to protect our peace (ice creamless). That was my big way experience today. Also they didn't give me water.

First time trying bigway after hearing about it so much from friends and social media and loved it here! Food is tasty and fairly priced, service was amazing, and even got a free ice cream with my meal! 10/10 would recommend to everyone
