C-Lovers Fish & Chips

After being a customer for over 25 years, it's sad to say that with the new ownership of this specific C-Lovers location, it has gone down the drain. Quality is no longer paramount; Food portions are smaller, costs are higher, service is average at best. Recommend going to the North Vancouver location C-Lovers.

Went there a few days ago and noticed that there were new owners. I regretted it instantly after seeing how stingy these new guys are on the chips. If you get two Halibuts for $30... The least you can do is be a lil reasonable with the fries

It is not good anymore. Cod is smaller pieces and seems mushy.The onion rings are amazing . Wish they would have fresh lemonade

I wish I could give these people 0 star they took my order for my family party at 5:30 and everything seemed ok for pick up I called them at 6:30 to let them know my uber driver is paying and picking it up for me and they told me no we can’t take big orders like that and i have been getting a lot of foods from them since they opened this location but since they changed the order it’s the worst restaurant in Coquitlam I could also hear the manager yelling at the workers and it was terrible attitude i felt so bad

Opted for the haddock platter with 2 pcs of oysters and 3 pcs of prawns but was informed that they were out of oysters which I didn't mind and asked if they can sub extra pcs of prawns for the oysters and the server agreed but only to return later and questions why I was wondering why the additional prawns pieces were not included as we agreed when I ordered? This is the second time for me with the same issue. I ended coming back to give them another chance but I'll have to take a little break from coming back to this location.

Came here to for the fish and chip fix as recommended by family.
Not disappointed! Grabbed the all-you-can-eat deal for CAD20.99 complete with unlimited soda.
The fish was superbly fresh with just enough batter. Chips were great too!
But the best thing was the service. So very friendly and check up occasionally to see if we were good. Responded to requests with a smile. Just amazing. Totally worth the hour drive from Richmond. Will come again when in town next.

I would like to share my experience here. With full of Asian food city this place feels really Canadian. It was a quick service, decent food -because no High expectations. However, fish and chips were nice, hot and tasty. I think I will come back. Thank you.

C-Lovers ! We called it home for the last 36 years…..We loved seeing old friends there that haven’t seen in awhile that are there too. We always taken out of town guests there too. The servers were all more like old friends happy us as us to see them . The cooks always had a kind “welcome” and a “thanks for coming” or “have a good day” or a smile to welcome us but….
Things have changed from no music or Tv. You can watch the advertisements of the menu no one wants to see the adds!
Every thing seems OFF the servers seem to be forced to be friendly and happy but it feels like they have some one watching them constantly like they are not aloud to be themselves.
The fish is wonderful and keeps us coming back but something last time something changed me that could have harmed me badly and it was not a server!
We “will”go one more time to see if things have changed.. we will see!……..

After posting a very negative review regarding 2 halibut dinners, C-Lovers reached out and apologized for the quality of the halibut, explaining that they were forced to temporarily find an alternative supplier due to a shortage from their main supplier. Clearly the quality of the fish was inferior and they were subsequently able to restore sourcing their halibut from their original supplier. As a result, we decided to give them another ‘chance’ and they did not disappoint. The halibut was moist and flavourful. The batter was light and crispy. They’ve totally redeemed themselves and we are pleased to be able to give them 5 stars!

It was my first time trying C-Lovers and attempting an all you can eat meal! I loved the fish and the sides were also incredible! Our server was kind and accommodating! I wish I could have stayed longer because I wasn’t full, but I was having a really hard day emotionally and had to leave early. I apologize to the staff and everyone dining in the restaurant while I was sad. I would love to come back and enjoy the all you can eat again, but learn your lesson from me and stay home if you’re having a bad day. Having the best fish and chips I’ve ever had helped me feel better, but I’m extremely sorry if I ruined anyone’s dining experience.
