Amazing food, amazing service and the whole staff is extremely friendly!! Best experience ☺️☺️
This place was phenomenal, authentic Korean BBQ didn't look like much from the outside but the food was delicious. We had a party of 10

The meat itself wasn’t anything special, and the side dishes were just average. The doenjang jjigae was somewhere in between a homemade version and the kind you’d expect at a BBQ restaurant, not really hitting either mark.
For a restaurant in this price range, the atmosphere and service were below expectations, but considering that Korean restaurants generally don’t have great service, they provided an average Korean BBQ experience. This visit will likely be my first and last.

I called two hours before visiting to confirm if I could bring my dog to the patio. I specifically asked about any minimum party size or reservation requirements and was told walk-ins were fine.
However, when we arrived, after driving over 30 minutes and with my friend taking the SkyTrain for over an hour.. we were told we couldn’t sit on the patio unless we ordered over $200. This was never mentioned on the call or Instagram postings.
When I brought this up, the server simply said she wasn’t the one who answered the phone and no apology. She even suggested we tie the dog outside and eat indoors, which completely defeats the purpose of confirming in advance. Also, patio was empty and inside of the restaurant was not full at all too.
Eventually, another staff member told her that we could be seated “just this once,” but by then I was already disappointed and uncomfortable. If I had known about this policy, I wouldn’t have made the trip. Unfortunately, this experience left a really bad impression and I won’t be coming back.

Good place to eat. Quality of meats was above average. Prices a little high compared to other nearby BBQ’s. Overall experience was good.

The food was good, the quality of the meat did not disappoint. The side dishes and the cold noodles were also very good but like some other reviews, the portions of the side dishes were definitely a little small. But the customer service definitely ruined our experience.
We came as a party of 7 and the first waitress that seated us was a little passive aggressive. It was not busy because we visited on a weekday but she wanted us to wait in a certain area. I was heading to the bathroom and definitely clarified that I was heading to the washroom but she tried to stop my way and told me to wait in the waiting area. I tried clarifying I understood and was just heading to the washroom when she stopped me another time.
I realized she would not understand any further communication and walked straight to the washroom. My companions clarified to her again once I left for the bathroom.
After we were seated we asked for clarification on the portions and the same waitress was not friendly at all and she was very passive aggressive towards my father. I expected much more highly from gooi-ga as the culture of K-BBQ.
Hope to see improved customer service as I know they have a remarkable list of restaurants associated with them. Especially since I have appreciated their representation of Korean culture in the local community, I hope they change the way their staff treats their customers. My friends’ first experience of K-BBQ surely could’ve been better if it were for the customer service.

The service & food were excellent. Would recommend the sizzling hot plate squid dish. Also the tau foo & pork soup dish & seafood pancake were delicious. Will definitely return to this restaurant again!

We were given an incomplete order. Additionally, were told 40-55 minute wait, and it ended up being 80 minutes. The food is OK. Just disorganized and unprofessional leading to a subpar experience.

I think a lot of other reviewers have echoed that meat quality is great and I can confirm it is true. I visited with a party of 4 people and we ordered the Gooi-ga Special. We were prepared to order more but it was enough for us.
The BBQ set came with a variety of meat and seafood and the tofu soup was delicious. They do not have a lot of seating so you are at the mercy of luck if you don't reserve a seat or get on the waitlist. I would definitely come back here with friends again! The only reason for the 4 star is the lack of seating and unpredictability of getting in or waiting.

The meat quality here is excellent. Tried a dinner set and it had generous portions and a bit of everything for you to try. Would recommend the raw marinated crab which had sweet, tender, naturally creamy meat. The side dishes were quite small though and we got them refilled once but it’s like one bite of each per person. The taste of the seafood pancake, soup, salads, and marinated and non-marinated meats was all good and solid. It’s an interactive dinner because you get to grill your own meats.

Overall good experience and the food is great.
They do have ring bell like restaurants in Korea so it's easy to call a waiter/waitress over for anything you need.
They don't grill for you just a headsup, and the 꼬막비빔밥 (Spicy Cockle Bibimbap) is code in case it's your first time.
