seafood kalguksu [15.46 before tax]: The kalguksu came out super hot and fairly quick. In this economy? the portions for the noodles itself + the seafood is spectacular (octopus, 1 mussel, clams, & maybe scallops? not sure) Broth was flavorful & delicious, noodles itself were nice, but could be a little chewier, just my preference though
nigiri/dynamite combo a: awesome quick takeout sushi! honestly my perfect set, ive gotten this multiple times, so i obviously recommend.
service: i appreciated the fact that the moment i finished my cup of tea, they noticed immediately, and went again to refill it. I really liked that they left us alone, despite that still was able to provide nice service. They were straightforward, no over-the-top stuff. I'd say if your body language is visible, they'll be observant about it.
Overall very satisfied and is quite reasonably priced, defo recommend
Affordable price for the decent food! Hidden jam in the city center! Good owner explained everything. Tasty green tea . Recommend

Instant ramen? more like instant regret lol
I came all the way here expecting real restaurant-quality ramen, but they gave me a bowl of instant ramen instead. So disappointed…
Hidden gem. Gotta try korean chairish don. Generous portion, service and price.
Huge portions. Alot of prawn tempura for the price. The Japanese Chirashi don was very big that I had to take half of it home and it came with miso soup. Great mom and papa restaurant. Definitely come back.

The food was okay but the practice is not morally correct. We bought one Korean chirashi done (menu price $15.95) and one kal guksu (menu price $12.5).
When we paid, I noticed the total charged was higher than expected. The waiter didn’t provide a detailed receipt until we asked and the detailed receipt has price $16.95 for Korean chirashi don and $13.95 for kal guksu. When we inquired, response was menu is not update for new pricing yet.
This is purely not acceptable. You could have told us the new prices when we ordered, or gave us a heads up that menu is not updated and expected $1 or $2 increase than the prices presented. There are a lot of ways to handle this but not telling customers and hoping they don’t identify it when paying, is not the morally correct way and I will not go back.
Great place, generous portions! Really recommend ☺️
This place is good for the price you pay. Staff is super friendly. Great place if you’re dining out alone. Small and quiet place inside a service mall building. Defiantly not even close to high end or fine dining but cheap, good, friendly place to eat
Price is really good and food is very good tooooo!! Love this place ❤️🔥
This is my 4 or 5th time taking out food and I finally decided leave a review. Best bang for your buck for Japanese food in the Coquitlam center area, and dare I say even in the Tri Cities. You can get chicken teriyaki for $12.95 with plenty of meat and veges, enough to fill you up. The Korean-style spicy chirashi don is the best value that I've seen so far - $15.95 for a huge and delicious meal.
I highly recommend to everyone.
