Old school dim sum place. Inexpensive, delicious food. Spacious and accessible location that attracts a diverse crowd of people. Wide variety of menu items apart from the dim sum menu. Kind and friendly service. Love the tea here. Overall a privilege to have a place like this around in Coquitlam.

My hubby and I went to this Chinese restaurant as we some good ratings. They speak Cantonese. They still have the traditional cart to roll out the dim sum. They have quite number of traditional dim sum and variety of choices. The food is average to good, pricing has been rising a bit. Prefer to come with several people to share and enjoy together. There are many tables and we didn’t have to wait at all, however we do see people coming in quite frequently.

Parking: There are not that many parking spaces, if we are coming with several families or friends, each with their own cars. It might not be that easy to have parking space for all. There are few other restaurants inside this small complex that is sharing the same parking area.

Glad to visit this old-fashion Dim Dum shop (talking about a food cart towered with steamers) in the Coquitlam neighborhood. Not as fancy as the top-tier new comers but it’s great to have a different option with the same level of hospitality and food satisfaction!

We love this place and the ladies that work here. We usually order a few types of steam dumpling and 1-3 main dishes. The food is fantastic each time.

To be fair the food was decent and cheap. I appreciate the old school dim sum push cart. If you don’t live in the area i wouldn’t recommend the drive out there to eat.

Avoid this restaurant. Arrived as booked for 6 of us on Boxing day at noon and was given a round table that is not stable and made to wait for 10 mins. We decided to get a menu and ask for tea and utensils. The elderly waitress demanded we seat down. Asked for tea from every waitress who came to our table. Tea eventually came when we have nearly finished our food that came on the trolley. Utensils, like chopsticks and spoons, came after the food have arrived, so I suppose we had to use our hands to eat. What is impressive, see the chili in the photo, she gave us the chili on a used plate and not a small clean dish. Very unhygienic. Very dirty restaurant. Service: -4/5, Food:3/5, Environment: 1/5, Recommendation: 0/5, Price: 2/5, Value: -4/5.

Booked and seated and no tea or utensils were given for 10 min. Food arrived and still no utensils or tea. Tea arrived as we are halfway through lunch. The elderly serving food told me to seat down when we requested for tea and utensils. Made no difference when we tried to ask the other 3 waitresses. Tea still did not come. Asked for chili and the elderly waitress put some on a used plate instead of a small dish. Not recommended. Spent nearly $70 on a birthday party that we won't forget.

Food is good and cheap. You can't get $6.50 dim sum anywhere in Vancouver. The portion are big too. It was not busy when I got my pick up. Service is good. Place is a bit run down nothing fancy but I guess you can't complain with the price they are charging.

No frills dimsum place so don't expect much.$6.50 for all dimsum dishes. Standard places charge at least $8-9 for "large" value dimsums now.The upside of these no frill places is that they serve some old school stuff that newer places don't serve. The newer places like to serve more expensive ingredients so they can make more money per dish. This place has deep fried wontons, pan fried bean curd rolls, black sesame filled deep fried sesame balls. The food comes out between warm and hot, even though they claim it just came off the stove/fryer. I guess I didn't mind since the crispy stuff is still crispy. Maybe it would be less pleasant for dishes like rice rolls.Best thing - they don't charge for tea. Other places can charge $1-$3 per person for tea. However, they do use a lot less tea leaves so steep the tea longer before you drink. For the price point, this was better than I expected. Some restaurants charge even more for even worse dimsum.

We came on a Saturday for dimsum. There were a lot of tables full but we snagged an empty one. They have lots of tables so no need to worry about not getting one.All their dimsum is the same price except for their fried noodles and rice which you order off another menu. The servers bring around trays with food to tempt you with. We got the fried youtiao with rice roll wrapped around it, lava steamed buns, sesame fried balls, scallop rice roll, tendons, shrimp dumplings, fried seafood bean curd, fried meat balls and siumai.Their fried items are all really delicious. Especially the deep fried meat balls (ham sui gok) and the seafood bean curd. We ordered 2 rounds of the ham sui gok because they were THAT good. Don't get the sesame fried balls they are not good. The rice rolls are also very delicious. You could taste the rice flavour in the rice rolls which is pretty rare and they are generous with the fillings. The siumai and Har gao I would skip next time as they are nothing special. The beef tendon was well flavoured and really tender. The lava steamed buns I would definitely order again. It really streamed out like lava and the egg yolk flavour was nice and strong. It also wasn't overly sweet.Overall the food is pretty delicious, especially the fried items. Their servers are all really friendly and most importantly the price is justified for the quality they give you. It's definitely a no frills place but they make you feel comfortable and the food makes you feel satisfied.
