We had a meal at Koya Japan in Coquitlam Centre today. We ordered beef and shrimp with noodles. What initially attracted me to try this place was the appealing presentation of the food and the long line of customers, which made it seem like a popular choice.
However, after trying it, I wasn’t really impressed. The shrimp was undercooked, and I didn’t like the taste of the beef at all. To me, the dish wasn’t as enjoyable as it looked, and I don’t think I’d try it again. It might be a great option for others, but personally, it wasn’t for me.
Also, for a larger portion of any dish, you have to pay an extra $5.

The food was decent, but the southeast asian looking guy who took my order was incredibly impatient, rude, and unprofessional. There was no smile, and he seemed extremely irritated by even basic customer requests. This used to be my go-to spot in the Coquitlam food court, but I may visit less frequently going forward.

Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place and the cook is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place. Koya Japan Is a great spot to get great food...
Meal sucks very expensive. I ordered prawn/chicken teriyaki . Meat super little they give you lots of veg to make it look full . Will never return . Food not flavourful .
