I'm a regular. There's not many Ramen places in Vancouver area that is okay price and has broth made from scratch with no msg that leaves you dehydrated hours later. I come here every time I need to see my dentist on a monthly basis. You can drink the whole broth, and feel fine because it's made from scratch with khombu/natural msg/umami. Jinga sells Ramen for ridiculous $30/bowl, without extra Ramen. Here you get a bowl $21 +$4 for noodle refill, that's enough...
The restaurant is larger than most ramen places, relatively clean, and family friendly. Great for a quick weeknight dinner. No complaints about the gomae but the ramen broth was so salty. Not sure if they were having an off night. The broth is also chicken based instead of pork. I prefer the latter as this one didn’t seem rich enough. It is decent for Coquitlam but not one of my favourites out there.
Highly recommend to dine in with friends and family and also very well suited for babies or small children. Service is very attentive and respectful. Food is amazing and traditionally made.
