We’ve gone to other sushi restaurants in the area and we always end up coming back to Mika. The quality of the fish is CONSISTENTLY fresh and service is always 100%. Been ordering from them for >3 years.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My wife and I had a pleasant experience in this location. We've had a great location at Moon Sushi in Vancouver. This one(Mika Sushi) is their first location. We're getting a consistent vibe of chill and friendly while being served with delicious food.

Food was horrible, got a chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki, both tasted terrible, takoyaki package was broken or animal eaten, I considered the takoyaki not safe to eat, and cheesecake size was extra small, so small it felt like a terrible joke to receive it and only a little piece of carrot and broccoli on the teriyakis. I got sick after eating this food.

Mika Sushi @ Ridgeway Coquitlam has great BOGO selections, and the food is delicious and fresh. We really enjoy the variety they offer, especially with their promotions.
Just a small thing to note: if you order using the BOGO promo, the 10% takeout discount no longer applies, which wasn’t very clear at first. It would be nice if that was communicated more clearly.
Overall, still a great place for sushi, and we’ll definitely be back for the food!

I am ubereats driver i come to mika sushi alot for pick up deliveries and some of my friend go for dine today i really saw a very very rude aggressive staff who was an Asian guy in his late 20s he was very rude it was hia fault to give my order to another uber driver and instead of apologizing for making me wait so long the. saying other driver picked up delivery he was misbehaving and in harsh tone like ordering me to call customer and say somebody picked up your delivery. he was not profeasional rather very rude and aggressive. he does not qualify to represent the business. hope the management of mika sushi notice and does not make its customers and delivery drivers feel not willing to come to this business

FOOD POISONING. Worst of my life. You could kill someone serving that.

Edit: after hospitalization, I am considering legal action.

Wanted to try a new sushi spot and found this place. Our usual order is a-la-carte 3x of each nigiri (some 2x or just 1x depending on individual preference). This is just how we have done sushi in the past (1pc per person in our group) as we are not fans of ordering rolls - too much of the same thing with no variety.

We prefer more fish to rice ratio, around 3:1 (a spot actually exists that does this and it is our favourite). In this case the ratio was close to 1 to 1.5:1 which wasn't according to our liking. The fish all tasted clean and fresh but it could definitely be better. We also ordered a few rolls because we were underwhelmed by the smaller portions.

For the amount of food that we ordered, we felt that it was a bit overpriced and not worth what they charged us at the end. They didn't even have sea urchin (uni) and never offered any dessert after. For comparison at our favourite sushi spot we spend around $200 for the same amount of food and they never fail to send us extras (compliments by the chef) for spending more than the average customer every single time.

Would consider trying a different spot than come back.

The food was great, but the service? Man, it was so slow. I get that places get busy and short-staffed, I've been there. But honestly, it felt like the tables in the middle were getting way more attention.
It took them like 10-15 minutes just to take our order.
Oh, and the table was super sticky. Not sure if I am coming back.

Recommendation: schedule more people during the weekend at dinner.

They cut miso soup from dons when you do Uber orders and they claimed it was so they could keep the cost down . Now they jack up the prices but still serve the same small amount and your still not getting miso soup. Mika needs to get off Uber

They have a long history of complaints due to quality and quantity . Their excuses no longer match the story . They are manufacturing lies now

The best sushi in Vancouver area. We were recommended this restaurant by one Japanese family. It’s absolutely amazing. Now we’re going and/or ordering sushi only in Mika Sushi. Thank you, you’re the best!
