Unfortunately, this was my first experience with Minoo's confectionery, and the pastry I bought was completely uncooked and had a pure dough inside. Instead of using pistachio flavor, almond extract was used in the pastry, which had a very strong flavor and was inedible.
In response to you: I am a pastry chef, so don't justify your mistake. The most famous type of pastry made with marzipan dough is the qorabiye .You will never see the inside of the qorabiye raw because the egg whites must be cooked with almond flour. If you have any information, they make this type of pastry thinner so that the inside is cooked. Instead of justifying the uncooked pastry, try to increase your knowledge in the field of pastry.

The Piroshki was fluffy with a savoury filling. Lots to choose from with numerous dessert options like multiple versions of baklava, pastries and cookies. How ever the king of the show, the Mocha Rolette is to out of this world!....get the whole roll, forget about just having one slice.

In August 2025 we took my mother-in-law out for lunch. Afterwards we dropped into Minoo — our first time. Well! I wish we had a bakery/cafe like it in Victoria! The selection was amazing. The store is clean. The prices were much lower than what I’m used to on the Island. The staff were really helpful — the kind of courtesy you get when a family owns a business. We were not familiar with many of the treats and our server was happy to explain and guide. We came in for one pastry each and left with a loaded box. While we were being served several regulars came in for coffee or coffee and treats. Today is Nov 12, 2025 and we will visit my mother-in-law tomorrow. We will definitely stop in at Minoo. Yes, it is that good.

Such a lovely bakery! They have a great variety of Iranian, Afghan, and international pastries — all super fresh and absolutely delicious. The taste really reminds me of authentic homemade sweets. $30 for 1 pound of chocolate cake!!! Is this made with Royal Gold chocolates? That's a lot of money for a normal cake; at least 3 times more than most bakeries.
