Came in on a cold Friday around 1pm place was pretty empty only 3 tables seated. Waitress told me I can sit anywhere which I did to be farther away from the door. Then she tells me to sit somewhere else. Then she doesn’t like where I sit again. She could have easily just sat me where she wanted me to sit. Then she directs me to sit at the table right next to the door. It’s already freezing. I ask if I can sit on the left side of the restaurant farther from the door. The restaurant is empty. She says no because “there’s skewers on that side” which I had no idea what that meant. Either you can only order skewers on they side (which I was there to eat) or because there was two ladies in the far corner skewering raw meat. That side of the restaurant is very long and there were at least 4/5 empty tables between us.
Finally I get seated next to the window but it’s so cold the air is drafting through the window.
They don’t serve any hot drinks. What kind of asian restaurant doesn’t have hot tea??
The restaurant is empty and it takes at least 15-20 min for 10 skewers to come out. I could have cooked them faster myself. I ordered beef and lamb.
The light two tea candles and put a metal plate on top. They do nothing to keep your skewers warm. It’s the appearance of a flat top grill but zero function. You’re better off just grilling them over the flame of the candle. The skewers come out cooked already so not sure why this exists.
Flavor wise it slant bland but it was pretty generic cumin mix. The meat quality was just okay.
I love meat on skewers and have had all kinds. Chinese, yakitori, Thai. These skewers were pretty forgettable.
I ate 3 skewers and got a box to go. (There’s a box fee)
Stubborn difficult asian lady service was already a turn off. No hot tea? Cold restaurant cause they’re cheap and don’t want to turn up the heat?
There’s plenty of great chinese skewer places in Vancouver and there’s nothing memorable about the food or service or ambiance that would make me set foot back in here again. All the google reviews must be fake because this place is just okay. I saw it on instagram which made me add it to the list.

This is my go to for chinese skewers. It's made fresh and service is fast. I always have a good time when I'm here. The seasoning of the meat is very delicious. Parking can be a bit of an issue, but always manage to find one a block away.

10 out of 10. I was almost go to Mc Donald but see and smell the grill so good then come and figure out here. The skewers are excellent taste. Very nice quality food here. Staff is fast and helpful. Excellent job guys

Food was good until we saw a hair on the skewers. Brought it up to our server and she said “Ahh… do you want us to bring you one more skewer?” We kindly declined, then without an apology, she left to go grab the bill we asked for. She did not come back for another 10+ minutes, then said “There’s nothing we can do, although it’s small we took off $2 for the skewer. Sorry you found a hair.” A simple sorry in the beginning would’ve been nice, unfortunately service was horrible and inattentive.

Seats are all in stools so not comfortable for hangout long. Food is good and served hot. Each table has a hot plate to keep the skewers warm. Clams are fresh and tasty. Suggested to order mild and add spicy level on own wish.
This was such a unique dining experience! I was thrilled! You order a bunch of skewers that range in price and main dishes. We ordered: beef tongue, throat, pork belly, skin, squid, cauliflower, potato, toast, spring rolls, cucumbers and even more squid. Everything was delicious, well spiced and cooked to perfection! Everything came out so fast, it was thrilling to see our table fill up so fast! I love how different cultures have different dining experiences, where you can just sit and chat with friend for hours and pick at your skewers that they keep warm for you at the table. I will come back here in heartbeat! Its open late and seems to be always busy!

Good food. Place is a bit busy. Not sure why others are complaining about the 15% mandatory tip when the server clearly said it's for 6+ group. That's common in most restaurants and 15% is on the lower end.

I visited this place recently after they reopened under new ownership, and honestly, it was a huge disappointment. My friends ate here and ended up with a stomach ache, which really says it all. As for me, I’ve always loved their chicken heart skewers, but this time it was completely different. The chicken hearts tasted like they had been frozen for days and then microwaved – it was just terrible. I ended up throwing it away after trying one skewer. It was over $10 for just five skewers, and it wasn’t worth a single bite. The quality has seriously gone downhill since the change in ownership, and I won’t be coming back.
