Never had anything I didn't like from here. Everything is tasty. The ice-cream sandwiches are great. The drumsticks are awesome. Cookies are so good. Nanaimo bars so yummy. I could go on, but just eat anything, everything is so good.
I recently learned of this place and finally got around to trying it today. We learned that they have been around for 3 years. Crazy thing is I’ve lived in the tricities (super close to this location) for the last 15 years and only just learned of them!
It was a very lovely experience. It is a small dessert spot tucked away in a corner of a commercial lot. It has a very cute and cozy vibe inside but not really any seating area to hang out. The staff that helped us were very friendly and wonderful.
One thing that really got me excited is that fact that they are inclusive with vegan treats. I am dairy free so it’s really helpful to see that I don’t have to miss out on delicious treats.
Would I recommend Occasionally Honey? Absolutely, over and over again. Whether you are vegan/plant-based/gluten free or not, or just someone who is a sucker for a good cafe or dessert place - Ocassionally Honey is a spot to check out.
I tried the soft serve (made with oat milk) with caramel sauce and chocolate cookie crumble. We also got a Lemon Raspberry creamy coco pop (made with coconut milk) - this is apparently one of their popular flavours. Loved both. I was quite surprised at the flavour profile of the coco pop but it actually worked really well and I really enjoyed it.
Went to the New West Farmers market today and sampled a Peanut Butter Oat Cake from Occasionally Honey. I will have to go back for more, it was absolutely delicious! A large cake, well worth the $4!
Ice cream cake, chocolate rose ice cream — all dairy free and delicious! My new favourite place for treats
This is something you SHOULD try. I mean it 🌻
Unbelievably good. I will be back.
Peanut butter coco cream sandwich, Pumpkin cream frozen pita thingy, lime creamy cake tart, and a variety of others my mate brought to our Horror night group. OMG. Amazing. There was already a bunch of deserts brought so much of the deserts from Honey were left here! Yay. I'm heading there this weekend for sure.
Game changer for those seeking healthy delicious deserts in tri cities. Discovered these folks at PoMo farmers market. Delicious!!!

What fantastic food and service!! We had a pumpkin cheesecake, pecan bar and chocolate chip cookie bar. Absolutely fantastic. We also tried the dairy free ice cream cake. I defy anyone to tell it is coconut milk.
The service provided was above and beyond.
Do yourself a favour and try this wonderful local business.

Too, too good. Milk-free cheesecake! Eat it!
It's great to have a safe place for dietary restrictions of gluten and dairy free. And the owner is so friendly and kind. However, I always forget that most items I try are overly sweet. And then I don't go for a long time, forget and then regrettably remeber once I go back. It would be perfect if the baked goods and ice cream desserts could be toned down on the sugar content. I really do want to support vegan small businesses.

I had a strawberry creamy coco pop at a festival and I was disappointed in the lack of strawberry flavour. While the coconut milk base was good, the flavour was overwhelmingly coconut and very little strawberry. Updated from previous review on 2024-08-05
Doing this review on just the popsicles I got at a street festival in New West. Love how they are vegan and gf. Love the concept. They have something called the dessert taco which looked awesome. Unfortunately the popsicle was a bit of a let down. I got a mango one and it only tasted like the coconut base it was. No mango ? flavour sadly. Would like try more ice cream options but no more popsicles
