This huge clean new store has a great selection of everything and a pharmacy too. They had some pretty good deals when I was there too. Parking is also ample. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I was in the store today 1130am and needed meat special cut. A young man named Lucas who had “in training” on his name tag was incredibly helpful. As I was waiting I noticed he was also helping three other customers . He was friendly, attentive and quick. As he was walking back behind the counter he also took the time to organize the meat counter as he went by! A very impressive young man. Great job Lucas!

This location overall has always been good. I’ve been going there for years now. The selection, and deals you get are great. The only reason I have to give it a lower score is because of their constant price changes. I will go in to buy the same thing I bought yesterday and the price jumps $5 and then the next week I come in and it’s down by $3. Then I will come back two days later and the price will change again…. How can the same packaged product change 4 times in a couple weeks? It’s not fuel! I find this ridiculous. Especially when it says on sale at a higher price than it showed full price the week before. If not for that I would give it 5 stars, but I debate even giving a lower score for the daily price changes and lying about the actual price of the products.

The food selection and quality are good. The staff are great. The problem with this store is a constantly broken down escalator and sometimes with an elevator breaking. They have closed the outside front walk-up entrance for 4 years now. It is very difficult to access this store at times. I know numbers of people that go to the Burquitlam store instead.

While alternative entrances through the parkade, both underground and overground, via an elevator but accessing the buttons ads extra barriers for wheelchair users.As a patron who values inclusivity and accessibility, I find this situation troubling. It is crucial for businesses to ensure that all customers, regardless of mobility, can easily access their premises. I urge you to prioritize the prompt reopening of the wheelchair access ramp and stairway from Austin Avenue. Doing so will not only demonstrate your commitment to accessibility but also enhance the overall experience for all patrons.I will gladly revise my review when this is fixed.I enjoy this store for the quality and wide variety of the food, the low prices, and the cleanliness of the store. I like that this location has a starbucks, and a florist and a section with take-home ready made meals.

I recently discovered this Safeway store about six months agoand I can't say enough good things about it. There seems to alwaysbe enough cashiers. The self checkouts always work and thereis always an attendant there to help. I used to go to Burquitlambut I got so discouraged by the long line ups and self checkoutsalways breaking down.
