Good but nothing crazy
This is a very good bakery to check out in the mall. I had one of their Salted York Pies and thought it was pretty delicious. The cakes looked extremely delectable and sophisticated. They also sell coffee concoctions as well. I hope the next time I come to Germain, I will order something more memorable.

I go here often. My kids like eating buns.
This is a reliable bakery in the area. Buns taste best fresh. We often see families unsure what to buy.
Get the vanilla cream bun for something sweet, and the green onion wiener bun for something savoury.
6 buns will typically set you back $16
While not recommended, try not to buy for the next day. If you honestly have to, reheat in toaster oven at 200F (low temp) for 5 minutes.

Grey haired man, Anglo-Saxon, imparient. Refuses to listen to customers simple requests to make a small double espresso base, a hot beverage. I know I was gender, race, discriminated and by my appearance. He treated the woman behind me better.
Great prices, very friendly staff, delicious pastries

Bizarre and unprofessional experience.
I pre-ordered a 6-inch chestnut birthday cake, but on the day of pickup, I was told their “factory” had made a mistake and only had an 8-inch available. It made me question whether the cake was even freshly made... I thought they made cakes in house? Regardless, they insisted on charging the full 8-inch price with no apology for their mistake. They suggested other cake favours - but of course, there is a reason why we ordered in advance - we wanted the chestnut cake.
When I asked to speak with a supervisor, the cashier went to speak with a lady in Cantonese who replied, “I am not the supervisor,” as if they were trying to avoid dealing with me. The cashier then told me to come back in a couple of hours to speak with the supervisor. Meanwhile, my husband overheard another customer purchase a 6-inch chestnut cake — the very size we had ordered in advance.
I decided to leave and return later, to speak with their supervisor (as suggested). But shortly afterward, the store called me six times in a row, asking if I still wanted the cake because they will sell it to someone else.
An overall very frustrating experience. We ended up getting a cake somewhere else.

This is now my favourite place if I want to eat a pastry. Every product is made with so much care and artistry and with butter. They taste so good.
Thank you for doing such tasty job. Love all your pastries for not being too sweet or salty.

One of my fav for a croissant at Coquitlam Center. They’re more flakey than a Facebook Marketplace meeting, with one exception, they really come through! Buttery and delicious, they do a great job. Also they have a killer coconut pineapple bun.
