We absolutely love Sashimi Sushi in Coquitlam Centre! This place holds a special spot for us, as we’ve been coming here since high school during our breaks. Even now, we still make sure to stop by whenever we’re at Coquitlam Centre. Their dynamite combo rolls and California rolls are always a must, and we can’t get enough of their deep-fried gyoza. The food is consistently amazing, and the service is always great. It's our go-to spot for a delicious and satisfying meal every time we visit!

I like to eat at the establishment instead of eating out to avoid eating hot food out of fresh plastic. Given ramen in plastic to go container even though I'm eating here. Lazy and wasteful.

the food here has a lot a lot space to improve. there was nobody inside when we decided to walk in, which we realized it had reason. All foods were served in one time container. i lost appetite when i saw them. The sushi box is barely warm, the beef ton is a bowl of rice covered too much sauces, the miso soup is too salty. we had to clear the table after. No greetings, no any service, but still pop up a window ask for tips when you pay before eat.
Just eat in the food court.

Disappointed in my chicken teriyaki roll. I expected better and the soy wasn’t even soy sauce. please reconsider before stepping foot into this restaurant 🤦

A group of us decided to try take out from Sashimi Sushi in place of our old favourite Sushi Koo, which is now under new ownership, and which has become much less affordable than it once was.

The online ordering process was straightforward, I was able to select a scheduled time for pick up and specify special instructions for the pick up, and I was provided with an order number upon completion.

The orders, to my knowledge, were all ready on time for pick up.

When one of the members of our group returned with the pick up order, there was a great deal of confusion, because though we each were provided order numbers online, those numbers did not match the order numbers printed on the slips in each of the bags. (It appeared that the order numbers on the printouts — 1, 2, 3, etc. — merely reflected which order was first, second, or third received for the day. And though each of us provided our names at the time of placing the order, our names did not appear on the printouts either.

The confusion aside, the food quality of my order was OK, but not great. I ordered a miso soup, a tuna and avocado, roll, and a negitoro roll. The fish in the negitoro roll was tough (not something I’ve experienced elsewhere with this roll) and the flavour was a bit strong. In two pieces of the tuna and avocado roll, I found I bit down on two hard bits that I believe were bone. (I get it. Fish have bones. It’s just not entirely pleasant to be digging around with your fingers in your mouth, trying l to locate a chunk of bone embedded in a glob of fish.)

Others in the group may have had a more positive experience of the food, but it wasn’t a winner for me today.

The staff here were really friendly and approachable. I loved everything I ordered. Their sushi was amazing! The homemade soy sauce is what caught my attention! The best sushi restaurant for me! Will def go back here!

Kimberly took my order wrong, I repeated the order, she said okay. When I picked it up I asked the person working is this the correct roll as the receipt says another kind and the worker goes yes. I reconfirmed the name of the roll I needed- he once again said yes its correct. It wasn't correct and this order was being delivered to someone. Definitely won't order here again which is sad as I only used to order sushi from here in coquitlam.

They put to much rice vinegar in their sushi rice which makes the rolls a little too sour. Service was slow even though I was the only person there. Would recommend togo if you are inside the mall.

So the restaurant is called” sashimi sushi…” and the sashimi was bad, I’m not over exaggerating either, the California rolls were mid, the beef teriyaki just tasted bad. Portion size was small, $18 for a bento that is that

My first visit was not positive, unfortunately. I made eye contact with the staff member as I walked in, without greeting me they walked to the back. I stood there for about 2 minutes then I rang the bell. Someone walked up and asked for my order. I ordered a veggie sunomono and a yam roll after taking my payment they told me to return in 20 minutes.Edit to add- the food is actually quite tasty so I am adding a star.

Place is neat and spacious. Good food quality, fresh ingredients, clean and decent presentation. Fast, efficient and friendly service. Reasonable price. One of my favourite places to go for Japanese food.
