Website advertised special deals as starting today. I’ve included a screenshot. We called to order based on what was advertised, but were told that those didn’t start until the next day. They would not honor what was on the website and just kept repeating that the offer didn’t start until later.
I’ve worked in other businesses, including a restaurant. If we made a similar mistake, we would work to make it right, but no effort was made to make up for their mistake.

Hotate Motoyaki (Clam) is soooooo good! Love the combination of creamy tender citrus!
Koroke (Fried Pumpkin) is delicious!
Creamy Spicy Udon is ok. Compared to the two above, this is not as fancy. A little bland. It’s good that it’s actually not spicy.

Ramen was not delicious. Sushi was ok. Miso soup too salty. Overall 3 stars for this place.

Eggs bombs, cheese katsu & creamy beef udon were standouts! The panko coating was delicate and light. The sauce from the udon was tasty and the 11yo added rice to really soak it all up! Good service and they didn’t rush us out even though it was past 3pm, when they take an hour break. Nice Japanese prints on the walls.

Restaurantji Recommends
Their sashimi (salmon, tuna, toro) are not fresh.
Powdered wasabi is heavily watered down and leaves unpleasant taste and feel in mouth.
Tap water and basic service.
Dining area is clean though.
Overall not recommended.

I ordered Oshi, Roll, Nigiri Combo and Kimchi Donkatsu Nabe. Combo was perfect but for Kimchi Nabe, I was initially confused because what I received looked quite different from what I expected. I was imagining something more like the photo on the left with a deep red kimchi broth and crispy cutlet on top but what arrived was a much lighter soup and the cutlet already soaked in it.
That said, the flavor was still pretty decent. However, for pickup or delivery orders, it would be much better if the fried cutlet could be packed separately so it stays crisp. Also, I wish there had been more kimchi in the broth to give it a stronger, tangier kick.
Not a bad meal overall, but a few small changes could really improve the experience!
