We had been meaning to try Singapore Hawker for awhile and finally our son took us for dinner there. It was very good. The service was attentive and very friendly. The food was delicious and the setting was very casual and relaxed. Overall an excellent dinner and for sure we will be returning.

While I find the food authentic, I was surprised when I saw $1 increase on the Hainanese Chicken Rice from $16.50 on 5th Sep 2025 to $17.50 on 13th Sept 2025. Not sure why there was an increase, cant be food cost as it is quite stable for now. If it was because of salaries, I hope staff do get an 6% pay increase.
Nevertheless, the food and service was good

The service here is top notch! Five gold stars!

The food is very good too.

I’ll write a better review later because I’m still getting over having my car towed… parking across the street at Coquitlam Square. The landlord and Benjamin Towing are running a scam operation. Even though I did some shopping in the plaza, my car was towed within 10 minutes after parking.

There’s barely any toppings in my laksa, but what’s worst is I got diarrhea after having this. Avoid.

We were here ages ago during their soft opening. Was reminded of this place when we drove by their second location in South Burnaby. Having grown up in Singapore and just recently visited Kuala Lumpur, i can confidently say I’m quite critical when it comes to the word “hawker”. On a Sunday night, the place was packed. The host at the front of the house was friendly but efficient. Seems like their menus has expanded and are offering more value meals. The taste for me was on the saltier side. Less MSG I say and more spices and paste. Roti still on par but the curry sauce was watery and bland. I’ve noticed a lot of restaurants in Vancouver have cut down on their cost and standards. *sigh* the recession and economic downturn is upon us? Still though ,the best practise is still running a tight ship on quality control. I’m going to try the Burnaby location only because newly opened restaurants need to make an impression so they don’t tend to cut corners.

Go for a lunch.
For a Malaysian cruise, the Laksa is disappointed. It is not rich enough.
The Mie Goreng is very oily. It makes my stomach not feeling well till night time.
