Cute hole in the wall in Coquitlam. Feels very cozy, homey, with a European-esque aesthetic. It is quite dirty, so be aware cleanliness is not the top priority.

Soup + sandwich were great. Owners are an older couple who do all the cooking and serving. They were quite curt, to the point of almost being rude, but it’s clear they weren’t trying to do so.

The place doesn’t take credit, so be prepared to bring cash.

You come here for the food. Family owned and operated and it’s no B.S. it’s straight up honesty in their food.

The mushroom soup is “home and a hug” been coming here for the last 2 years and can’t get enough of it.

Dont eat here too long, because they will tell you to leave if you do. Especially on a rainy day lol.

Dont mistake their passion for pushiness. They are elderly and got no time to waste. Foods made fresh daily so you better just get with the program. Don’t be rude, eat and get out lol oh and don’t forget the mushroom soup -Large

DO NOT EAT HERE if you have dietary restrictions or allergies or care about hygiene! This place was gross. The walls had stains, the plate had stains, and the person making our sandwiches didn’t wash his hands, didn’t wear gloves, and kept on coughing. He didn’t follow any rules to prevent cross contamination. Also, the sandwich was overpriced with barely any meat in it and mainly tasted like watered down mayonnaise.

I came here with a friend and didn’t have a good experience. We felt pressured to make an order right away, and the place didn’t smell pleasant. The person preparing our sandwiches was coughing and not wearing gloves, which made us uncomfortable about the hygiene.

If you want a mom and pop environment where you are greeted like a friend and you love soup and fresh baked bread, then this place is perfect. Small interior seating (about 8 tables). Service was fantastic.

I've been coming here for over four years, and I always look forward to their amazing homemade soups and sandwiches. The Louisiana Poor Boy is hands down my favorite, I swear I dream about that sandwich! I usually pair it with the veggie soup, which is just as good. The staff is always so sweet to my baby too, they light up when they see him and always treat him to some of their fresh homemade bread. The best soup and sandwich location ever!

Aggressively kind service in a time capsule from the 90s, so glad I was introduced to this gem of a spot. Can’t wait to come back.
