To the female staff working the 8pm shift on Tuesday, September 23, 2025:
- Get the order right. A mobile order saying “no whipped cream” should be plain to see.
- Even though you did make a mistake and put whipped cream, thanks for remaking the drink.
- However, when a customer asks if we can keep the wrong drink, maybe explain it’s against policy or something, rather than a stark “nope!”
- Pour syrup properly into the cup, so that it doesn’t flow down the side, causing a hot sticky mess.
- Maybe practice a bit more to make drinks faster. A mobile order that estimated 5-8 shouldn’t take 15 minutes.

I get Starbucks is a franchise but the level of service and professionalism is egregious 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have been a loyal Starbucks customer for more than 10years, but my experience at the Como Lake Mall location (next to TD Bank) on Sept 5 around 4 pm was shocking. I was rushing for my bus, very thirsty, and for the first time ever I asked for a cup of water without ordering. Normally I always buy something.

When I entered, one staff member told me to line up for another. After waiting, that barista said she was off shift and sent me right back to him. Already confused, I still asked politely for water, and his only response was a blunt “Nope.” His tone was rude, unfriendly, and completely unnecessary—especially in an empty store saying that is the policy. I had no idea they changed the policy and heard first time from him. That’s still ok I asked nicely again I did not know you guys changed the policy so can I get a water for just this time and I will order in future. He said again NOPE. So I left since I didn’t have time and didn’t want to talk to him not even a single word after that attitude.

What makes this worse is that other Starbucks locations still provide water without requiring a purchase. I even tested this later the same day at another store, where they gave me water with no issue. This inconsistency makes the Como Lake Mall store stand out as stiff, disorganized, and unwelcoming compared to the rest.

Starbucks built its reputation on warm service, but this location failed badly. If this is how long-time customers are treated over something as simple as water, I don’t see why I should keep choosing Starbucks.

It was my teenagers b day and went to get him a drink he is a good teenager and was excited. I heard Starbucks gives drinks on your birthday and the lady said oh you need to have had the app for 3 months to qualify. Please go somewhere else . I know I would never turn down a teenager on their birthday. Shame on them. With all the money they make and how over priced they are, in a way kind of thank you I will only be buying American stuff from now on.

I just walked into this Starbucks and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. There was no greeting, no smile, and not even eye contact from the staff when I entered—even though I made the effort to smile at them. It felt unwelcoming and cold, something I’ve never experienced at other Starbucks locations before. I’m still sitting here, unsure whether to place an order, simply because the atmosphere didn’t feel positive or inviting. I truly hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience for future guests.

I just order online through app there was no option for cup of water and i asked to the person who were making the order there can i have a cup of water they said you have to line up the counter and punch it from there am unable to give you a water i never face is attitude in my life specially at starbucks…..

Still my favourite location - this little greeting on my chai tea was cute - “chai new things“- I’m loving the cherry chia tea - consistently good . The people who work here are fantastic.

It is now common not to fill the cup as required in this location. This isn't the first time I've felt the coffee was lighter than it should be. So, this time I measured it at home with a measuring cup, and guess what? You keep more than 150ML with you from one cup. I ordered two Grandes (473 ml), and this is what we received. We've already drunk one, so this is all I have. Why don't you fill the cup as it should be? We pay for a Grande, but we don't even get the Tall size (354 ml) inside. This is awful.

One of the worst services across any location.
Dirty & broken cups, overflowing coffee & when asked about it - received nothing but attitude & rudeness from the two female baristas. Highly disappointed.
