I have been to Sushi Mori many times and food were good. Recently I had two very bad experiences in a row. First the California Roll rich tasked weird and they had to replace it. My second bad experience was I wanted the Yaki Soba Creme Udon. They got me Teriyaki Udon. Got it replace with the correct order but then there was a plastic piece feels like a net with first bit. Quality and cleanliness has definitely gone down down. Will not go here for a while as there are many options available. Sad their services and quality has dropped recently.
This review is mostly about the service. When a senior staffer is around/supervising, the service seems better. Sometimes you just get tea, sometimes you just get water and sometimes you get offered nothing. Our server forgot about us multiple times today. We ended up with four different servers throughout one sitting and had to ask a few times for beverage refills. A couple of servers were just standing around looking at the patrons when they could have been walking by to check on people. My food was not made properly and they offered to remake it but I chose not to have it as it was towards the end of the meal. They still charged me full price for it, despite the server admitting they had made a mistake. Unfortunate because the food there is pretty good.
Food was okay, service was sub-par. Ordered a few things bowls, rolls, appys etc. completely missed one of the orders, they didn’t even check on us for drink refills/extra napkins, wasabi didn’t taste right soy sauce wasn’t all great. Not worth it, will go else where.
Went for the second time in 2 weeks. Fresh, delicious and tasty.
Always amazing good n service
Ordered takeout on May 15 and the food wasn’t as good as before, particularly the tuna (not as fresh). Today the smoked salmon roll was good though. We’ve been to Sushi Mori several times before and really enjoyed the quality of food. The 21 Century brand of soy sauce is terrible. I don’t remember having this soy sauce at sushi Mori before. The flavour and texture is weird and not like the typical soy sauce you get at sushi restaurants. I’m prepared to return to Sushi Mori. Hopefully this is not the trend moving forward.
Food quality is not that good and the service is bad.
I got the chirashi don which didnt taste very fresh and didn't have that much variety of fish compared to chirashi at other restaurants.
We asked for tea and twice they brought a teapot of plain hot water. We ordered a lot of food but the server wouldn't clear our table when we were done with any dishes, they just kept stacking more and more plates onto our very cramped table. I even asked them to clear our empty plates when they brought out our entrees, but they speed-walked away without taking any plates. No one came to check on our table either, one of us had to get up from our table to find a server to help us.
Food came out very slowly too, our entrees were served like 20-30 minutes apart.
Overall an unpleasant dining experience and I wouldn't come here again.
My go to sushi place hands down
First time eating here and I was overwhelmed by the menu. They have so many things to choose from that it took me awhile to choose. The service is really good, the food came fast. You order straight from a QR code so it’s nice that you don’t have to wait for someone to take your order. The food we ordered were really good and tasty. I wasn’t a fan of the salad dressing just because it was too tart for me but the salad was really fresh. I did enjoy the sunomono because it’s a bit fancier than others. Would definitely come back to try other things on their money.
Great atmosphere lovely decor, service was good but found I had to get up to ask for a couple things because they weren’t staffed enough to provide service to all tables. Food was good no complaints.

Tempra is very bad quality
Came in with a friend on a Wednesday night for a chat and dinner. We go in and there is a server standing at the entrance on his phone, so we stand there for about 5 mins until he says how many? After we responded he went back to looking at his phone for a solid 2 minutes (there were plenty of tables open and available, at least 5 tables that I could see with no reservation plates on them.) So we finally get seated and were chatting for a while id say about 5 minutes or more and the same server that showed us our table bring us tea which was half full. Didn't ask if I was ready to order just set the tea down and walked away. So we chat for more time and finally we were able to flag someone down (everyone seemed to be in the kitchen) and they took our order. Order comes out not too long after which was nice. But then came the waiting again to try and get someone to get our bill. Finally get our server to give us our bill and my friend pays card and I pay cash. I give the cash to him and he walks away with it which I figured he was going to get my change. He completely forgets about my change and I sit there for another 5 minutes until I had to stand up and go find my server to ask for my change back. He didn't apologize and just came back to my table to set my change down and walked away. Didn't ask if my meal was good or anything it was astonishing. The servers name I think was Ken? Not attentive at all and I felt like he just took my change thinking the entire amount was tips. The food was alright but for the price I probably could've went elsewhere and gotten something better. The service really ruined it for me.
I haven't even finished my food yet and I had to write a review. Wow, we got our food within 5 minutes of ordering AND its busy in here for 8:30 pm, everything was incredible. Unreal. Will definitely be coming back.
To be honest Sushi Mori was an excellent place with delicious meals and great service. Since the new management change, the food hasn’t been as good and the service hasn’t either. He hasn’t been the most pleasant to deal with when going to the restaurant. All the other waiters and waitresses were very kind and helpful. Overall I just think that the management should improve same thing with the food.
Lots of variety of sushi. This is my alternative location for Japanese food.
