We’ve been going to this restaurant for many years. Something has recently changed. The service and the food tonight was not to the standards in previous visits. Service is very slow, having to ask several times for tea and was handed our bowls/cutlery 5 mins after our meal was already served. The sushi rolls were falling apart and the hot dish was bland. Tonight’s dinner and service here was very disappointing.
It wasn’t very busy in the restaurant yet it took 30 mins before someone came and took our order. Table we were seated at was sticky which was very off putting. We ordered 3 rolls which came out a solid half hour later. We had to ask two different waiters to bring dishes for soy sauce and napkins. Customer service and overall cleanliness needs some serious work.

Place definitely went downhill since last time I was here. The service was always below average but when the food isn't as good as it used to be and its surrounded by other sushi restaurants it begs the question of why you would go to this one. Maybe it was sold to new owners at one point?
I ordered sushi I then realized I had ordered the wrong one when I got it I asked if I could change it they told me no. After a while they told us that we could cancel the order we waited for a good 20 minutes before they came back we asked to cancel it they said we couldn’t I didn’t touch the food and they still charged me. They also had horrible service we had about З different servers they rarely checked in with us.

We used to frequent this place quite often a few years ago and decided to go tonight when two other sushi places were too busy. I can see why the other places were busy! I'm not sure what has happened to sushi Mori, but there were only two servers and the service was not great. The table was sticky. The sushi was not rolled well. The bathrooms needed help. Overall, avoid this one.

Yikes! We used to eat here all the time. It is no longer good. We got lunch bento boxes. The California roll tasted fishy. The beef teriyaki was old had the look of being left out not covered and they just put more sauce on it. The tempura had a crazy amount of batter with very little inside. Overall very disappointing that the quality has gone down so much.
Delicious Sushi!! Fresh and good portions!

I never received the sushi I ordered, even though my husband and daughter were nearly finished with their meals. My husband reminded the server, who casually said “yeah, coming” while walking away. I told him it was too late, and instead of addressing the issue, he just walked off saying “ok ok” and never returned. I ended up leaving with my daughter while my husband paid the bill. The way it was handled felt dismissive and disrespectful. I won’t be coming back.

Their "vegetarian" menu seems to all be vegan from my experience, but I always ask about each dish to make sure just in case (I see a couple come with mayo, but that can probably be excluded). They are experienced with vegan customers so they're quite willing to veganize other dishes if it's possible. Keep in mind, anything deep-fried is using the same oil as all the other deep-fried food, so tempura and spring rolls, for example, will have cross-contamination in this regard. Other than that, their separate menu is quite extensive and you won't feel left-out by having only a few selections to choose from. They even have an all vegetarian/vegan party tray, which I have ordered a couple times before (I can't remember if I had to make any subs due to something being "vegetarian" or not). I know that the regular menu's noodle soup uses fish broth, and some dishes may seem vegan put have fish flakes added on top as a decoration etc., so make sure to tell them you're looking for everything to be vegan and they're very good at double checking with the kitchen, too. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating and the kitchen staff are good and coming up with alternatives or idea on how to veganize a dish I may want, such as noodles. Other than the 'vegan' experience, the food is delicious. The ambience is very interesting, with their traditional Japanese restaurant theme. I think it's pretty cool, there hasn't been anything quite like it since The Hawaiian Village in New Westminster closed down. It's not a small place, one can easily host a very large party here if they wanted to. You can bring your non-vegan friends etc. here or if people are going out to sushi, recommend this place so you can have some options.

The food was great, I'm full. The service could've been way better though. We waited atleast 10 minutes waiting for someone to come around and get us the check. They didn't come around, we had to ask which kinda sucked.

I have been to Sushi Mori many times and food were good. Recently I had two very bad experiences in a row. First the California Roll rich tasked weird and they had to replace it. My second bad experience was I wanted the Yaki Soba Creme Udon. They got me Teriyaki Udon. Got it replace with the correct order but then there was a plastic piece feels like a net with first bit. Quality and cleanliness has definitely gone down down. Will not go here for a while as there are many options available. Sad their services and quality has dropped recently.
