The Clever Cupcakes

I've been coming here for years and am never disappointed.

There's a solid variety of both chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. You can get cream cheese or regular frosting. I love the cream cheese ones. I really appreciate that the cupcakes aren't too sweet and that they use better ingredients than other similar places. If you like cupcakes, you'll love these ones!

Clever Cupcakes also does custom orders of all sorts, and they have a jumbo cupcake you can get instead of a cake for a special event.

If you're on a budget, you can usually pick up some day olds for a reduced price as well.

I've been in the store while they were hosting a birthday party, and the young kids were having a great time. The staff were keeping them engaged and having fun.

I ordered 1 sugar free 'big' cupcake for my sons 1 year birthday party cake smash and 24 regular cupcakes for our party guests. I attached the reference photos and the actual cupcakes I received. They looked and tasted absolutely phenomenal and the customer service was above and beyond! Thank you so much clever cupcakes, I will definitely use them again for future events/parties.

Dry, flavorless, my 5 year old wouldn't even eat it. At 5 dollars a cup cake I had higher expectations. Glad I only bought 2 and didn't commit to more.

Purchased Too Good to Go - yes, it was discounted product but they were baaaaad - rock hard, stale, and tasted funny. Nothing edible about them unfortunately. I would recommend to the store they stop offering their products through the Too Good to Go - unless it's a true representation of your product. Based on what I got, I would never go again and would not recommend to any of my friends or family.

Gluten free cupcakes are tasty and look pretty. Great care is taken to create a good high quality product.

The owner is super kind and passionate about her baked goods. The cupcakes were excellent with great flavour! They tasted very natural and wholesome with unique icing and cake flavours. No preservatives and they all tasted like they were made from scratch with real ingredients. The carrot cake, lime, vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate were all great! They are pretty to look at too! A delicious treat!

I really liked the cupcakes I got from the too good to go app. Not only did every frosting on the cupcake taste different but they were also really pretty and well made. The frostings were not overly sweet or artificial tasting and the cupcakes flavours were not overly sweet as well.

Is this place under new ownership?
I ordered 30+ cup cakes for a toddlers birthday a week in advance in 2017. They were great! But this year...

I placed the same order for the same event with the same lead time in 2018. I called back the morning of the party to make sure everything was still on schedule and was told they were running behind by an hour. I said it was ok. I always factor in an hour for the unexpected.

Long story short. The toddlers, who enjoy everything dessert especially cupcakes, didn't like them.

I tried the cupcakes along with a few other adults. Overall opinion
Sawdust with a mild flavor of what-the-hell-is-this-in my-mouth followed with never again.

I assumed something went wrong because of the good experience the previous year. I called the store to speak with a manager / owner and was very polite about it. No call back after multiple attempts. I wasn't looking for money or a discount, just an explanation or apology for our experience. And, reassurance that it would never happen again and we should give them another shot. You know, business 101.

3 months later, 3-4 messages left. Still no answer. Which is fine.

I love this place!! The cupcakes aren’t too sweet and love that they accommodate nut allergies! I only wish it was a bigger store to be able to sit down or have a spot for parties exclusively as I always feel bad walking in the middle of the party to pick up cupcakes

I bought 4 different flavors. They were all nasty and stale so I only ended up trying 3. They all tasted the same, which was not a pleasant taste.

Staff here are very friendly and you can tell they put a lot of love in all their products. Recently tried their frozen watermelon Popsicles which were really good.

It has been an amazing experience as the owner was super kind and helpful with the whole bulk cupcake order, much appreciated :)
