The food here is very high quality, and all the products are always fresh. The butcher section is especially impressive, with all meats being from same-day slaughter. They’ve recently added new items like fresh fish as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for fresh and high-quality products.

It was my mistake. I admit it. I should have trusted the ratings and never dined here. The food was unbelievably bad! The koobideh was overcooked and under-seasoned, and the gheimeh was just oil.
We ordered gheimeh bademjun and asked if we could add a few fries on top (with an extra charge, of course). Anyone familiar with Persian food knows that adding fries to gheimeh bademjun for one person means a handful of fries, maybe five or six pieces, mixed into the stew. Instead, they made us order a full side of fries.
I wouldn’t have minded paying extra if it actually made sense, but what we got was a huge container of fries, almost the same size as the main dish. What am I supposed to do with that? And to make things worse, the fries were stale and tasted like they had been sitting around for hours.
Come on, man! There aren’t many Persian restaurants in the Vancouver area, and whoever is cooking in your kitchen is doing a terrible job. Whoever trained your staff is doing even worse. Do better.

I ordered a birthday cake from this bakery, and it was absolutely amazing! The cake was full of fresh bananas and crunchy walnuts, and the design matched my request perfectly. Everyone at the party loved it — it tasted wonderful, and many guests even took a piece home. Thank you for making such a beautiful and delicious cake! 🎂💛

We recently visited Urban Gate during our trip from New Zealand, and we’ve tried kebabs in many countries — but hands on heart, their food is among the best in the world! The kebabs were juicy, buttery, and served in very generous portions. The staff were kind and friendly, making us feel right at home. Their bakery was also fantastic — everything was incredibly fresh, and the lady who served me was so helpful and patient (especially since I couldn’t make up my mind!). Overall, our experience was absolutely amazing. If I ever move to Canada, I’d want to live nearby just so I could visit them at every opportunity!

I ordered a Tahchin and had to throw it straight into the garbage. The texture was terrible, and the chicken had lots of black, smoke-like particles, similar to what I noticed in their Joojeh Kebab as well.

I was very disappointed with this Iranian supermarket during Nowruz. When I went to buy a goldfish, the staff were not cooperative at all and offered no help in choosing. Their attitude, especially on New Year’s Eve, was far from friendly or welcoming. Definitely not the experience I expected.

I had a very disappointing experience at Urban Gate in Vancouver. I purchased minced meat, but when I got home I noticed the color was abnormal and did not look fresh. I/ went back to the store to request an exchange or refund, but the manager refused to accept it. This was both frustrating and concerning given that food safety should be a top priority.
Not only was the product questionable, but the lack of accountability and poor customer service made the situation worse. I would not recommend this store to anyone who values quality and fair treatment.

We ordered our wedding cake from this bakery, and we couldn't have been happier with the result! The cake looked exactly like the photo we shared with them and it was incredibly delicious and fresh.

The cashier and one of the bakery staff were not welcoming, and this is not the first time I have experienced such behavior — I had a similar experience with another cashier before. If staff are upset, they should not take it out on customers. I believe better customer service training is needed. I will not be coming back, and I will also advise my friends not to shop here.

Spontaneous choice for dinner. I can’t remember the name of the lamb dish, it was ona bed of plain rice and saffron rice, with roasted tomato and pickled jalapeños. It was delicious. Under $20 and plenty leftover that I will enjoy when I get home for dinner tonight. Yum! 😋
I also tried a plain yoghurt drink that paired well with what I was eating
I will definitely be back multiple times they do have a customer appreciation for multiple visits… I think they said when I had 500 points I get a free meal.
