White Spot Coquitlam

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the fish and chips. The dish arrived looking fine, but the taste was another story. The fish lacked flavor and was far from fresh, but the real issue was the potatoes. I honestly can’t even describe the taste — it was unusual, unpleasant, and nothing like proper chips should be.

This place used to be our family’s go-to spot for the occasional Sunday brunch, but we won’t be going back. The food is usually good and the prices are okay, but the service has been terrible the last two times we went.

It seems like the servers are either overworked or have lost the love for their job. They were short with us—rude and impatient with my 11yr old daughter, who was just a little indecisive and asked a couple of questions.

It really felt like we were being rushed in and out. No care, no patience, no understanding.

When my father asked for more coffee, the server—without a word—grabbed the pot that had been out of his view, and almost slammed it down in front of him with a condescending look, and walked away.

Not a single word. He’s a senior and didn’t notice the pot. She could have kindly pointed to it, handed it to him, and said, “No worries, it’s here whenever you need it.” Instead, she seemed frustrated by the simple request.

I understand they’re busy and the servers work extra hard, but there’s never a good reason to be rude or short with kids or the elderly.

With the price of everything going up, we’d rather make ourselves a nice breakfast and avoid the unnecessary attitude or go elsewhere.

We were a table of 11. Everyone enjoyed thier meals. The menu gave us so much to choose from and the food came out in a decent amount of time. We had a great server that made sure our visit went really well. We will be sure to meet there again soon.

We came and did the car hop which I didn't know this location still offered. I love the car hop experience. I had the blueberry shake and the veggie burger. The shake was delicious but I'm not a fan of the Beyond meat patty. It was okay but it's very dry. Wish you had more or better vegetation items.

Perfect fall day for drive in lunch.
Toasted shrimp sandwich was perfect. Extra.crispy fries stayed crispy..

Came here with my 7 year old daughter for a Daddy/Daughter date night. Had a perfect time. We were greeted at the door with a smile. Seated at a cozy and clean booth for 2. Server came to get our drink order. Pirate meal was yummy and my beef dip was delicious. Had great service (Dorian was his name I think). Left feeling satisfied, and an evening out well worth it ! 😊

Foods are alright.. not bad or not amazingly good. I ordered Prawns Panang Curry… hmmm.. I must say I wasn’t expecting its to be tasted this way like a prawns 🍤 salad on top of white rice.

It’s a birthday dinner for our kid and he ordered the “Thanksgiving Special Milkshake” - Pumpkin Pie Milkshake (It tasted gross and the texture is just yuck!) I told the server when she came and check in on us… she did asked if we want to order another drink but because we were so full we declined it.
I thought she will not bill us but the she does.. even we don’t like it.
Wow… ok.. I’m speechless! Thank you for charged us the pumpkin pie milkshake that tasted yucky!

I don’t tip. I will not pay $.25 cents for a bag. With all the money they make. I didn’t buy a bag and they never gave me coleslaw or napkins or condiments in these tough times Just tell him that you’re not touching their dirty machine then you won’t have to pay a tip
