Good was good. The price seems a little higher to comapre to the surrounding stores. We paid $80+ for two people.

Love coming here for a DIY hot pot experience. I can get everything that I want and nothing that I don't. The only change I would make is to have a scale near where we fill up our bowls so I can get a sense of how much mine weighs so far. The spicy seasoning is actually spicy, which I appreciate. And you can't go wrong with the free ice cream!

Love the broth here because it’s so concentrated! I came here twice for lunch and left feeling satisfied both times ? Would recommend coming here for lunch or earlier because the ingredients section is fully stocked. I came for dinner on Friday evening and most of ingredients were empty and not being refilled which was disappointing.

1 lb is the minimum weight and don’t forget to ask for ice cream after?

I like the atmosphere and the service. The restaurant is clean and bright and all the staff are friendly.

I did not really like the beef broth. It was too sweet and creamy. I expected something more savory.

The water here stinks of chlorine. My friend said it smelled like a pool. It was hard to drink.

Other than that, I would be willing to come back and try the other broth flavors. It's a fun place overall.

This is another one of those popular hotpot joints where you weigh your food and they cook it for you. The concept isn’t new, but the difference between each place is the variety of soup bases and toppings you can get.

This place does have a minimum charge so you can’t just get a super small portion and get it cooked, in case you are wondering.

They have a lot of soup bases you can choose from and a variety of toppings for your hot pot. I would say it’s on par with the other ones out there, but this one is available in Coquitlam. It can get quite busy and despite the large parking lot, it can still be tough to find parking.

YGF is arguably the main competitor to Big Way Hotpot - honestly, the quality and flavor are better and more consistent at YGF, but at a higher cost.

Parking: Shared parking with the other businesses in the complex. You may have to do a lap before you find parking.

Kid-friendliness: Families come here all the time. It’s easy to share food - ask for a side bowl.

First time here and Miki and Harry were super helpful. I almost ordered medium but trusted their advice and ordered less spicy and it was still quite hot.

The ice cream was very different from other places but was so good. It’s become my favorite ? Definitely coming back again!
