Went today for the first time since it changed ownership. I had always found it only mediocre before. Today was amazing. The server was amazing…polite, friendly, went above and beyond. Our perogies were delicious and it was the best cabbage roll I’ve ever had (apart from my own mother’s! lol and I’m very picky about cabbage rolls). It was my son’s 12th birthday and all he wanted was perogies and this did not disappoint! We will be back and spreading the word. Thank you so much ❤️

One of the most embarrassing places to eat. I took my mother out for breakfast at this small cafe we use to go to, the beach wood, we still decided to go even with the negativity around the name after the old owners left. We ordered the basic breakfast and didn’t even get our food, it took 45 minutes of us(2 people) waiting patiently. I eventually went to the foodpass and saw the staff (3) standing around talking and then when confronted about the lack of service and food, they quickly apologized. I told them we are leaving due to the extraordinary long wait, and they said “you can’t do that”. I responded yes I can we haven’t even got our food (the time was now approaching a 50 minute wait). Amazing service if you enjoy waiting while watching countless skip the dishes and DoorDash workers receive the orders first, to keep their schedule on track, while ignoring the dining customers. Will not ever come back. We went to white spot across the street and were seated quickly and received our food in less then 10 minutes , when we brought up our experience about the beach wood, the employee said that we a one of many who say the beach wood is a terrible place to eat, they hear it all the time! Thankyou white spot, no thanks beachwood cafe!

Not so good. Mediocre at best. The basic breakfast is $15.99. 2 eggs, bacon, ham or sausage, hash browns and toast. I had the two sausage links, shredded hash browns and sourdough toast. The toast was undercook, the hash browns were not hot, but only warm. Only 2 sausages. I thought to was all not so great for $16.00.
Coming back to this restaurant after four years and I'm impressed each time I come in.Staffing is an issue (as is with most post covid restaurants) but the breakfast is excellent, the in-house pierogies are phenomenal and it makes for a great regular spot.
