“I stopped in for the first time the other day and the service as well as the variety of flavours/assortments of products were amazing. I purchased some Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream and one home my kiddos gave it a 5 stars and deemed it the best! I also was given a sample of a freshly baked in store bagel with was incredibly delicious! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️”

“We stopped in for lunch and the place was "jumping". Nevertheless, the friendly staff found a great table for us, and our server appeared in no time to take our orders. My wife had the mulligatawny soup, which she found delicious. I ordered the gouda and bacon burger and must say that it's without a doubt the best burger I've had in the Comox Valley. We both really enjoyed our lunch and would have no problem in recommending Rhodos Coffee & Bistro.”

Everything we ate and drank tasted amazing, the staff were kind, and the atmosphere was great.

Myself and my guests ordered the steak Frites, the pasta of the day, and the fish and chips.

The steak was perfectly tender, the truffle fries were to die for, the pasta was delicious, and the local caught snapper was super fresh. We also ordered the artichoke dip for the table which was the BEST!! We each got two drinks, which were also good.

Even though it’s not cheap, after tip we only spent around $70-$80 each.

Crown Isle 100% worth the visit based off of the restaurant alone. We ate it so fast i don’t even have pictures to attach.”

“I have been to the new store about 3 times now and I am please to see the wonderful customer service has transferred over from the old store. Everyone is happy and chatting to customers, I’ve never had a wrong order, food and drinks always come out super fast, and there’s loads of seating for everyone. This morning had many people just chatting it up. Perfect example of a third space!”

“The Most Charming Breakfast Place in Courtenay

I believe whoever was in charge of this location's look and feel was at least partially inspired by Hobbit architecture. It was delightful dining here and the food was pretty good too!

My wife ordered the Two Poached Eggs with Whole Wheat Toast & Jelly breakfast, while I created my own sandwich (Montreal Smoked Meat on an Onion Roll with lettuce, tomato, and avocado). I also got a cup of their soup of the day (Cream of Butternut Squash). Everything was delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. And we got to experience what eating breakfast for Frodo & Bilbo Baggins must've been like.

Highly recommend if you're in Courtenay and want to get away from the typical run-of-the-mill diner or cafe experience for breakfast.”

But today (for the first time) we tried their cinnamon buns and despite me not being a lover of sweets I ended up convincing my kids to share half of theirs with me because they were TO DIE FOR!!! Not to mention, we were there on a year-end Scavenger hunt from our piano teacher and the customer service, kindness, and general friendly vibe was something you don’t often see. Thank so much to all of you amazing staff at Vassili’s! We will (of course) be back and felt fortunate to get to share your amazing gifts with our new-to-the-valley friends!”

“This is very nice, quiet cafe on the high street with a northern European ambience. The owner is very friendly and eager to please. I have only bought take away. Although there are several ready made croissant sandwiches, recently I wanted a rustic bread so a fresh turkey, ham, cheese was made for me ($8, very tasty). I have also bought the Friday schnitzel, which is huge and feeds 2 people ($23). Comes with sauce and spaetzle. I look forward to trying the pastries.”

“Had the chipotle tofu main in my burrito, was super impressed. Lots of variety and customisation. Very flavourful burrito. A dairy free cheese option would be good too, and would love clarification on whether any of the salsa are vegan. Only real issue is not being able to swap non vegan items for vegan items. Cheese for roasted vegetables for example is an easy swap and probably more lucrative for the store yet they won’t do it. So instead I will take the cheese on the side and throw away or give to someone rather than allowing the company to save money.”

“I am so impressed with the beef ribs here! Even down in Victoria, restaurants have downgraded their meat quality to thicker cuts with no fat. Saigon Noodle House does it perfectly. The meat is sliced paper-thin, comes in great portion sizes, and features that delicious, flavorful yellow fat that makes authentic grilled beef ribs so good. The lemongrass marinade and sauce mix is absolutely yummy.
Technically, traditional Vietnamese beef ribs require more fresh herbs, but considering Comox is on an island, getting this served with fresh salad, cucumber, and pickled carrots is awesome. Your imagination easily does the rest because the meat and sauce are so spot-on. If you appreciate a true, high-quality Vietnamese thin-shaved rib, this is the place to get it! Cash only or e-transfer, very easy, just come prepared, staff is super kind.”

“I visited this Subway yesterday and had an amazing experience! Mr. Gill served me, and he was super friendly and helpful. I ordered a footlong veggie patty, and he even suggested a great combination of sauces that made it taste perfect.

What really impressed me was his hospitality — I got there a few minutes after closing (around 9:05 pm), but he still welcomed me in with a big smile and didn’t rush at all. It’s rare to see that kind of customer service these days.

I’m really happy with this Subway and the service I got. From now on, this will be our go-to Subway for me and my family. Highly recommend this location to everyone!”
