Why have the loud music on at supper time? Very loud and horrible sounding. Most people want to have a beer and eat and chat. Save music for later in evening?

Stopped in for breakfast around 8am. It wasn't busy at all and enjoyed the atmosphere. Food is yummy as well. Avocado toast was well priced. Giving 4 star as there were a couple of things that could be improved. Would love to see more options to convert some of the meat dishes to veg - and to have a menu that's easily accessible online. We couldn't find it anywhere so we had to go in to figure out what was being served. Posting it here for those interested.

I've always had a wonderful experience at Gladstone! The food is delicious, especially the chicken burger, and the beer selection is top-notch. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it perfect for families. It’s heartwarming to see everyone, kids included, enjoying themselves. The staff truly go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. For anyone who appreciates a lively, family-friendly vibe, this place is a gem!

The beer is great, but recently I’ve been loving their margaritas! Personal favourite is the fish burrito, but the burgers are also great. You really can’t go wrong with the drink or food menu. 👌
It’s an inclusive, welcoming, family friendly environment that you truly don’t find many other places. My friends and I have small children and we always feel we are welcome. My daughter loves dancing so we try to hit up the live music. 🤘
They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Great location - right downtown Courtenay!

A very fun beer, garden atmosphere and delicious tasting beers
My first time tasting a Gladstone IPA. As an ardent Hop Head, I was absolutely gobsmacked at the level of craft in this beer. The hops were perfectly managed to create the IBU of a 'go-to' beer that anyone would be proud to serve to their best buddies. Way to go Gladstone.
