Food is alright (6/10), but the owner is super salty. I can deal with db attitude as long as the food’s great. That is not what this is.
The owner has a playful sense of humor. The food was really good and the service was great.
Truly unfortunate this place, if you can call it Thai food. I don't have the words to describe the lack of authenticity, the lack of anything substantial. It's quite possibly the worst Thai food I've ever had.
Food was great nice atmosphere good service and everything came out quick hot and fresh. Pork Spring rolls were bar soaking in oil and pad Thai had perfect amount of heat and sauce at medium. Will be back
The food was nothing special with small portions. You pay for the chicken but get almost nothing in the dishes. The calamari was like eating rubber bands and the chicken lettuce wrap was watery and tasteless. The pad thai was fair but had almost no chicken. It was a dish of noodles with little else. The sweet and sour chicken should have been called sweet and sour onions as it was mostly onions and sauce with very little chicken. The red curry was nothing special and was a very small portion for the price with almost no chicken. We spent 80.00 and left hungry and very disappointed. Don’t waste your money at this place.

Amazing pad thai; fresh, flavorful. Perfect portion. We are from Victoria and when visiting family in Courtenay, we often come here for a dinner out (for almost 20 years). Always a really nice, friendly, cozy and delicious experience.

The best lunch I've had in a very long time. I've been at Kinaree Thai many times before, but today I have to mention how superior the food was and is. A salad that could not have been fresher with a delicious dressing. A flavourful noodle dish with peanut sauce, crisp veg and pork. Also had a taste of fried bananas and ice cream (not to be missed). The food was plentiful, the service excellent, and the cost reasonable. Thank you!
