Kinaree Thai Restaurant

It was our first time trying takeout from this restaurant. The food was great. Unfortunately we ordered a Panang beef and got a Panang tofu. I would maybe recommend reading back the order over the phone. I’m not a big tofu fan, but that was actually really good tofu. The pad Thai was really good too. I would eat here again.

The server was very rude. We arrived 30 mins before closing and he said they’re closed. Then we showed him his restaurant’s timing.

We got take out and this is our first time. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. The portions were small and a few dishes were only half full. Lacked flavor and not much passion in the food.

10/10 BEST THAI FOOD!!! Food is so good, portions are big, service is great, and the owner is super friendly and kind. the pad and the red curry are so so good, I stop in every time I’m in town!! Must try while in the valley.

Good food, horrible service

It was a taste of authentic Thai food. If you are a real spicy fan, try the spicy Thai level and you’ll love it. Prawn Tom Yum was the best I’ve had on Vancouver Island by far, A MUST!!!!

Took more than 15 minutes just to take our order. Portions are small. Taste ok. Fried rice was wet and mushy for some reason.

My wife and I are regulars, we just love the food. One of the best Thai restaurants we have been to. Have been going regularly for numerous years now, just made a reservation for Sat night.

Take out and got Chicken massaman curry which had 4 tiny slithers of chicken. Probably about 1/8 of a small chicken breast worth of meat. Ended up cooking some extra chicken breast at home and adding it in. Might of tried to skimp on the portion cause it was take out and wasn’t sitting in the restaurant. Pretty solid case of shrinkflation. Guy was very rude and told me to order quick as soon as he answered .

Food is alright (6/10), but the owner is super salty. I can deal with db attitude as long as the food’s great. That is not what this is.
