Maya was lovely! She was knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. She was attentive and friendly but didn’t hover. The atmosphere was light and comfortable. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the west coast seafood pasta. We will definitely be back.

Excellent, excellent meal. We had Waldorf salad, bison short ribs, and salmon. coconut angel food cake. We wanted to lick the plate after each course. Nice atmosphere, good service. Beyond being delicious, great presentation on each dish. Next time I am back in Courtney will definitely be back.

Our dinner here was nice, in a pretty Tudor-esque setting. But the overall experience was good but not great - nowhere near the 'fine dining' experience they put forth. Service was just okay, and the food presentation and flavours were more homemade than chef.

Dinner at Locals was delicious. The service was fantastic. Our server was covering a lot of tables. Very impressive at the level of attention. We got. We had the bison short ribs. Oh man, that was really good. Flavour and texture of the meat was fantastic. The rest of the dish was great! Also had the beef stroganoff. It was flavourful and nicely done. Since we are low salt people it was a tiny bit salty but deelish. The tuna appetizer was also very good. Had a couple of different deserts, also very tasty indeed. All in all, an excellent experience. Will go back next time we are in town.

This is a must go to when you are visiting Vancouver Island. The food is all local and it is exquisitely prepared and presented. Fine dining with a relaxed atmosphere. Locals is my go to for excellent dining anytime I’m on the Island.
