I have to agree with the reviews by Munro. The staff were lovely, provided our table of 9 with a lovely smile and carafe of water, but they missed the mark on promptness. Food took over an hour to come to the table, and was just ok, missed serving a beverage, and for high end, I for one don't expect to sit on an uncomfortable camping-type poly chair with a flat seat cushion. Some love needed there. The house itself has always been so charming and a beautiful atmosphere, do it some justice with the better seating it deserves. Dinner and drinks for 2 just under 200$

First of all I loved the map in the front of the menu that shows where everything comes from. Beautiful building by the river, lovely atmosphere. Most of all, the food was exceptional and the service outstanding.

We came here for my birthday and were pretty disappointed.
The venue is gorgeous with a beautiful garden and weeping willow.
Our server Georgette was very kind and attentive, however we sat for an hour and a half before our food arrived. Our drinks took a while to come out as well and we only ordered tea and lemonade. Neither of these were the fault of the server, and there were large groups at the restaurant which accounted for the lengthy waiting time.
However no effort was made to provide and discount or comp, and the food lacked flavour. After an hour and a half we were pretty hungry so ate it all, but when our $130 bill came we really felt it wasn’t worth it. Going out these days is expensive and a good atmosphere can only count for so much.
There is only so much you can do on a busy night but offering a free desert or comping drinks would have gone a long way. We probably won’t be back.

We dined in a large tent and sat in plastic chairs. Our server had to sweep away spiders above our table. There were 4 of us and I basically paid $700.00 for a $150.00 meal. The wines were grossly expensive. The appetizers were OK but my main course was terrible to the point I could not eat it. I got a sorry from the server. Desert was somewhat of a saving grace. Having recently moved to the city we were excited to try a high end restaurant. We have done better at some of the local pubs. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

Food was absolutely fantastic 10 out of 10. Chef Colin seafood pasta was one of the best I have ever enjoyed. Fresh flavourful and perfectly balanced savoury salty spicy spectacular. Pastry chef Ronda chocolate pistachio raspberry desert with a glass of port brought the meal to a next level decadence. Madison was my server and provided excellent service with smooth and efficient attentive service. I will return again and would recommend to anyone living in or passing through Courtney. It would be an ideal location for celebration of any special occasion or just out for a great evening meal.

I came to this restaurant at 3:52 PM and politely said hello to the hostess. She completely ignored me until I greeted her again a minute later, when she finally said they open at 4 PM. I said I'd come back in 7 minutes, which I did. By then, other people had also arrived, and the hostess kept telling everyone that she's alone and it would take a while. She continued to ignore customers who were waiting and didn't make any effort to manage the line or welcome guests properly. I was really looking forward to trying the food, but I left due to the poor service and lack of organization. Very disappointing first impression.

Very limited menu, everything over $45. Ordered a pasta dish $46, Caesar salad $23 and a Cider $15. Service, food and experience was very average. Waited close to an hour and then summoned the waitress. Her response was we make everything from scratch so it takes longer. Ok. Asked for some complimentary bread or something and was told here is nothing like that. Ok. We were a party of 6 and my personal take on this place is it’s definitely over priced for what they deliver.
