Enjoyed a wonderful meal and fantastic service from Declan! The setting is lovely- you feel like you’ve walked into your own piece of paradise. The service was attentive, but not intrusive and meals were delicious. Can’t wait to return.

The Caprese was magical. It arrived with basal ice cream. It was sweet, cooling, and fresh. The perfect summer treat. The sweetness paired perfectly with the savory Cheese and Charcuterie board. The Cheese and Charcuterie board is well curated with generous cheese offerings. Javed was the consummate host.

A little point off of atmosphere. I encourage the management to keep the sliding doors closed to reduce nature from visiting indoors.

I really enjoyed their cocktails, super creative and delicious! The food was good too! We enjoyed the mussels and squash. The pesto with the squash was to die for! Great service too!

Firstly, the service was exceptional. The absolute best we’ve had in a long while (a special shoutout to Muj). We were seated near the windows and the view was lovely, however it was dampened by the large amount of dead flies on the window sill ( I can appreciate that there may be some flies with the open doors however having a pile of bodies across the table while trying to eat is not great). We started with a dozen oysters, yum! For our main we ordered medium rare striploin and tenderloin, and both came well. It was really rather unfortunate. As well, there was some unknown bit in the salt rim of my Paloma. I would say the view and service were let down by the lack of attention to detail.

We had dinner here today. Beautiful ocean front setting. The staff were very friendly. Our server was pleasant and professional. We ordered the fruits de mer spaghettini. Flavours were lovely. Lots of muscles. Scallops were perfectly cooked. Had the cream sauce. It was very delicious.
Also ordered the pasta truffle special. Excited about that. However, they were out of it. Unfortunate that we’re weren’t told about that before getting all wound up about it. Had the black truffle risotto instead. It was pretty good, but too salty. It’s a bit pricey but I’d go back.

Our experience at this restaurant was simply amazing! It’s become our favorite summer destination. The atmosphere is vibrant, perfect for enjoying warm evenings, and the food is always delicious and they support local farms and vineyards. Every visit feels special, from the attentive service to the beautiful presentations of each dish. Whether it's a casual meal or a special celebration, this place never disappoints. Can't wait to return for more unforgettable memories!

I recently dined at Ocean 7 at the Kingfisher, and it was a fantastic experience! The service was exceptional, and I want to give a special shout out to Dawn, who was an incredible sommelier. Her recommendations truly elevated our meal. The food was absolutely amazing and beautifully presented. I can't wait to come back for another amazing evening! Highly recommend this restaurant.

We walked through the door to our suite penthouse 2 and it was breathtaking. The housekeeping staff did a phenominal job cleaning our room. The staff and new chef are top notch and very accommodating to special requests. Only 2 suggestions would be to offer a bell person for luggage service and simpler tv remotes or instructions in rooms regarding how to turn on the tv's. Regardless all of the staff were very helpful to us through these problems, particularly Jeff and Frank for helping us with our luggage. Kasia made our dinner experiences extra special with her detail oriented service and personalized suggestions. Rachelle was lovely to talk to about the resort and is a great listener. Kim at the front desk graciously made us coffees early one morning when I couldn't figure out the in room coffee machine. We enjoyed both the hydropath and healing cave experiences. Overall, we had a terrific experience with the whole resort.

The food was perfect. The setting is spectacular, but the best part of visiting Aqua Bistro is Javid! A professional, knowledgeable and friendly server, he goes above and beyond to ensure customers feel welcome and well taken cared of. There is no better cheese and charcuterie board in the valley, and if you’re lucky enough to have Javid serve you, you’ll want to go back again and again.

Amazing view and wonderful food. We had the seafood spaghetti and bison short ribs and they were amazing. The staff turned me on to a new whiskey after promptly serving our first round of drinks. They recommended a great wine for our entrees and the view is incredible.

The truffle baguette is amazing.

The atmosphere is beautiful . The gardens and view are beautiful . The arrival was great . Nice table outside under an umbrella.
The happy hour menu includes drinks but no food. No problem . I had a cider and the wife a glass of bubbly .
All good . For lunch, I ordered steak frites and the wife the Halibut burger.
Both arrived on time, and my steak was good but not medium rare, I chased it, looking for some pink. Maybe it had rested a little too long as the butter hadn't melted. The jus was great .
The wife had the Halibut burger and loved it. The real complaint on both was the frites. Neither one of us had a frite longer than 2 inches. In fact, the overwhelming majority were less than half inch. Dipping them in the aoli was messy.
The wife ordered another wine, which took 15 minutes to arrive. Gave a glance. The waiter apologized. Said one more minute. I ordered a glass of the same as hers arrived. 20 minutes later, I shot the waiter a glance. He ran over and apologized , said he had forgotten the order and would comp the wine.
Everything was off then as the wife watched me finish my wine.
Got the bill, which started at an 18% tip prompt, which felt arrogant as the service was nowhere near that. So I paid it and tipped only $15 on the $126 bill as i was fed up by that point. Then I noticed the wine hadn't been comped. Whatever.
Upscale casual dining prices without the great service and food today. I wanted to love it, but it didn't work out.

As long-time residents of the Comox Valley, we've watched the Kingfisher evolve over the years, so we decided it was time to revisit and enjoy the experience again. Booking online was simple and efficient, and we were able to reserve our preferred time slot with ease. We were seated at a window table with a lovely view, and our server was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout.

Initially, I was set on ordering the seafood chowder, but one of our group of four chose the Korean Chicken Bowl. Curious, I asked our server about it, and he told us it has been on the menu for five years and remains their most popular dish. That was enough to convince us all — we each ordered it.

Wow — what a great choice! Four clean bowls later, we were all full, satisfied, and smiling. Everything from the food to the atmosphere and service was top-notch. It's wonderful to see that the Kingfisher has maintained its high standards over the years. We'll definitely be back soon!

This place was expensive but the food did not deliver the quality that i paid for. There were flies around and the raw oyster was not prep right; did not come out of the shelf easily. The risotto was done right so kudos for that.

Will always come back again & again to Ocean7!! Beautiful & welcoming atmosphere, fast attentive service, delicious & innovative cuisine, fantastic wines. Definately a year-round destination restaurant for me. :) a must-stop on any vacation to Vancouver Island.
