We brought some out-of-town guests for happy hour but will definitely not make an effort to come back. The service was okay, but the food was very over-priced for what you got. I ordered the hummus dish for $22 as it was either that or a $29 veggie burger for non-meat options. What I got was about 1/2 cup of hummus with some EVOO drizzled on it, 2 sticks each of carrots, bell peppers and cucumber and about 4, 1-inch slices of buttered bread for dipping…FOR $22!!!! Ridiculous and incredibly disappointing. We wont be back anytime soon.

Beautiful dining area. The two bartenders were kind, helpful, and had some great tips for local sightseeing!

First night of a new menu and I think the new chef needs to fine tune his kitchen. I had the local Fanny Bay oysters and while they were delicious, not one of them was shucked properly. I had to work to get them off the shell! I also had the duck, which was a dish very well perfected! My friends had the Angel Hair pasta with seafood and they said it was mediocre, at best. The dish was seafood sitting on a big clump of pasta all stuck together. I tasted the French Onion soup and it was very thick and salty. Not the best! So, great service, beautiful room, but the new chef still has to get his kitchen performing the new menu. All the best. Gorgeous place!

We love this restaurant and come here for most special occasions. We were here on Saturday and were so disappointed in the food. We had Eggs Bennie and they were cold, the English muffin was so over toasted and dried out you couldn’t cut through it and the hollandaise sauce was congealed. Again, it was a special occasion so we didn’t want to make a fuss and therefore didn’t complain to the waitress. Our mistake. We tell everyone we know they have to come to Aqua Ocean 7 because it is so good. Maybe not now…. Very sad!

My friend and I had the pleasure of being served dinner and brunch at this restaurant while we were pampering ourselves at the Kingfisher spa. Well deserved I might add. The reception at the Resturant from the front door to our table was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable about the dishes we ordered making it an easy decision. The dinner was excellent . I had the Lamb with a non alcoholic mojito (super fab) my friend had the Oysters and a Caesars Salad like no other Ive ever seen before. Brunch the following day was a repeat of the same excellent service. We both had the healthy start breakfast. My biggest take away was that though the breakfast eggs on the menus said poached the waitress immediately asked how would we like our eggs. A big deal for me since I do not like runny eggs, and I did not have to remember to ask for hard boiled. It is almost as though the staff takes all the guess work out of ordering . Love it cant say how much. You should go:)

If you're in the Comox/Courtney area and are disappointed with the local dining options, it's worth a drive out to Ocean7. Yes, it's expensive, but they deliver on the food and service, and to be honest, it only costs a little more than the fine-dining pretenders in Comox/Courtney. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there.
Now the food. The Starters section of the menu looked rather interesting, so we went with 4 Starters and one Main, and could not finish everything. The stand-outs were the duck breast combined with the cherry, nuts and foie gras, and the Spanish octopus combined with pork belly. The ingredients work together to give layers of flavour, and this is what justifies what they charge.
A shout-out to Lindsey, who never stopped smiling all evening, her explanation of the menu items, and her attentive service. Well done!

Extremely slow service and inattentive staff. Design of bistro meant indoor areas were very cold. The food was average.
