One of our favorite spots to eat out. Food is always great and flavorful, service is good, quick, and we have the sweet coffee almost every time we visit, it's so yummy!
Freindly staff, quick service, fresh produce, eat in or take out. Vietnamese and chinese flavors. Free parking and price is affordable.
It's ok. Very thin meat in the vermicelli.
We go here for both take-out and dine-in meals and the service and food quality is always good. There is a wide selection of dishes on the menu to choose from. We especially like their Vietnamese soups and Chinese noodle dishes.
I used to order chicken pho once a week with my family...since new owners the quality has gone way down! Portions are less. Salad rolls are so much smaller. The pho broth was the best I had ever had....I miss it so much. It doesn't even come close and I won't be back. The new owners should have kept the old recipes....they may think they are saving money but they are losing the regular customers.
A very very nice and a very super cool Chinese restaurant with very very good tasting and very very delicious and very super yummy Chinese food and very nice staff. Check this restaurant out you will love it.
Quality has gone down with new owners, been here many times before. We had beef pho and chow mein/chicken balls combo.Pho had very little flavor, worse than grocery store broth. No sprouts, basil, lime on the side. They serve it with the sprouts in it already. Small serving with not much noodles. Price is higher.Chow Mein was a good portion size, but it didn't have much flavor to it. The chow mein noodles were totally wrong ones, very thick instead of the usual ones.Service is good at least, but we will not be coming back here.
Sadly since new owners have taken over, the quality and portion size have gone down and the price has gone up. I called and let them know and they are unconcerned...This place used to be my favorite which I ordered from every couple weeks, I will be ordering from Saigon Noodle house from now on.
Delicious as always! Highly recommend #22! Lemongrass chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls! so light and flavorful! You have to try! I'm going to try the wor wonton next I've heard it's amazing too!
Really good and really friendly! Wonderful food. I’ll go again ?
New owners, new menu. Gove them a chance. I had the pork & spring roll vermicelli and it was pretty good. The pork was a little thin though. I wished they would make larger spring rolls. It was tasty and of course like everything else these days, prices are up. The service was very good. I will certainly go back because good Asian food is hard to come by in the Comox Valley.
First time visiting, far from first time having Vietnamese cuisine. Server lovely, food complete disappointment. Had lemongrass chicken, charbroiled pork with noodles and Vietnamese hot coffees. Tiny chicken slivers, mini deep fried spring roll on top of huge pile of noodles. Charbroiled pork was thin and crispy like bacon, again with mini spring roll and huge pile of noodles. Extremely small portion of the meat for both dishes. Coffees brought without mini percolator. Very weak, seemed like drip coffee with some condensed milk in the bottom of cups. Would never go there again.
I went to the Maple Noodle House today after a few months of noting attending and I found the menu was different and the place was a little different. The young server said it was new owners. I order the spring roll pork vermicelli and though I've always found small spring rolls..... ah small..... I really enjoyed the meal. The pork was a little thin and could be more. I will certainly go again and try something else. The place was clean, service was good and the owners home made chilli sauce was something awesome. My lips were burning for a while after lunch. Good one.
I don't leave reviews often and I am never compelled to do a bad one either. However, I was honestly really disappointed in the portions of my order today. The full spring roll in the picture was from a side order of extra spring rolls. The spring rolls were basically all wrapper, no filling, and tiny to begin with. There was no fish sauce on the side either, just plum sauce. I was expecting some flavour for the lemongrass beef/some sauce poured on the rice and maybe some cooked veggies... but it was a super thin small amount of lemongrass beef with some raw carrot and cucumber. There was no hoison/peanut dip for the salad rolls I got either. I came here a long time ago and was underwhelmed, but I thought I would give it another shot today but I don't think it was worth the $50. I would give them a 1 star but I don't want to totally hurt a small business but I wouldn't eat here again or recommend it.
New ownership and they are putting out quality meals at good prices. The service was cheerful, attentive and overall, a very pleasant experience. We will most definitely be going for seconds.
