My server was monil he recommended me avocado toast. It was amazing and it did not disappoint. The presentation was beautiful, and the portion size was generous. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere of the place was cozy and inviting. This is hands down the best avocado toast I’ve had in the city. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fresh, healthy, and delicious brunch option!

After 2 yrs, we thought we’d give it another try for breakfast. Saturday930am. Nov2/24. I ordered eggs benny ( eggs cooked medium) and requested fruit vs hash browns. Was told it was too expensive as there was too much waste and they no longer have fruit to offer. Only strawberries in sauce. So I got hashbrowns. My breakfast hit the table and the eggs giggled enough beneath the hollandaise sauce so much I knew they weren’t cooked medium. I touched them and they were barely cooked at all.

Hubby ordered eggs with pirogies, 2 sausage, 2 bacon.

After order placed, the waitress returned to say they didn’t have the harvest sausage, only European wieners. He was hungry so wth. His plate came with 1 European sausage sliced down the middle (resembling 2?) and 4 chunks of crumbled bacon on top. Waitress returned, to check on us. We kindly let her know the issues. She asked if we wanted to speak with a Supervisor. We didn’t. However, we offered to pay for our coffee but not the meals and we were leaving them in eaten. She went to discuss with co-worker. You could hear him defending the food without seeing it etc. she said she didn’t know what to do. I let her know it wasn’t her fault but we’d only pay our $9 for 2 coffees and be in our way. We did and left. Won’t be back.

Big portions of all the comfort food ? Not fancy or very cozy, but that's not why we go there.

I gave a 1 star review for food because after waiting over half an hour, we didn't even get to order our food. There were 3 other tables occupied in the whole restaurant, and 2 waitresses. Neither of them seemed to know at all what they were supposed to do. After 15 minutes we did get to order our drinks, then another 15 minutes later, we finally got them, well almost. My son's and I got our pops, but my husband did not get his drink. Then when she came back 10 minutes after the 3rd time my husband requested his drink, she forgot again, and told him the other waitress would bring it to him when she has time. Then she asked if we were ready to order, to which we said we will just take the bill. The main waitress had one of the worst attitudes I have ever witnessed in the service industry. My advice would be that if you are feeling that miserable, or if something horrible has happened in your life and you are completely incapable of putting a smile on, maybe don't come to work. The poor elderly couple that came in before us, still didn't have food on their table when we walked by another half hour later after ordering and eating leisurely at Opa's.

Wow! WoW!! WOW!!! We Don’t I have any Ricky‘s back home and ONTARIO, so we’ve never had the delight of enjoying the amazing food that this place offers. You’ll definitely have to experience it for yourself, because I don’t know if I can come up with all the words to explain how awesome it is. The chicken is better than anywhere I’ve had, lighter, fluffier not like that really regular frozen stuff you get some of thee other nice, yet somehow plain restaurants that are supposed to be really nice food, the fish is fresh you don’t get that back where we’re from I mean unless you’re right on the lake at a small little place on the shore right here serving fish caught right from that local lake, and the staff is so friendly, super amazing when you come here you feel that they actually care. They actually take a bit of time talk to you like you’re people not just customers or just, another customer . Showed up a little late intending on getting breakfast and then surprise surprise anything off the breakfast menu you want,, all day till 4 o’clock, Amazing! I had to chicken and waffles. It comes with bacon and I got syrup, hot sauce, and honey mustard, it was EPIC!!!! At one point, even THE OWNER came out and chatted with us, and he’s awesome too! A few other places since we’ve been here in BC but we just just keep coming back to Ricky‘s so like I said, I don’t know if my words can do it justice I hope they did because until you experience it for yourself, All I can tell yuh is, You’re missing out! Amazing people amazing staff and amazing food! You really just can’t get any better than that! I say if you’ve never tried Ricky‘s before definitely try it out and I think that you’ll understand exactly what I’m talking about. Once you experience it one time. Over a two week. Period. We’ve been there five or six times now because it just, is better than everywhere else. oh yeah, I almost forgot. I think it’s Thursdays, but we had all you can eat fish and chips the one day and it was Obviously, Also Amazing. I don’t know if you’ve ever had fish from Australia served to you before but yeah, definitely should because that just makes it even more Awesome!

Excellent place for families. My Son loves the crispy French fries and the burgers are cooked to perfection ? I've had great service even when the restaurant is full. The food comes fast even with an extensive menu so the kitchen must be doing it right ? I'm guilty of observing what others have ordered so I can try it myself on following visits. Special interests include the Turkey dinner and California chicken sandwich! Yum.

Very welcoming and hospitable, all staff had a great sense of humor. Food was amazing. I'll be back.
