Seh-mi Japanese Restaurant Courtenay

My favourite sushi place in the valley! Food is so good and portions are large. My only complaint is that everyone’s food wasn’t brought out at the same time. One person at the table was basically done eating before the last person got their food.

I have tried 3 sushi places in Courtney and this was the best sushi place by far. I ordered the sashimi combo with tempura and it was delicious. The sashimi was fresh and the portions were great. Will definitely come back more often.

My go-to for Japanese food in the valley. Food is delicious and presented nicely. Portions are large and prices reasonable considering the amount of food you get. Bento boxes include miso and sunomono, with lots of other items. Effort goes into the appearance of the dishes. Service can be a tad slow, but is always very pleasant. Ambience is nice, but hard to really call it 5 stars. They have lots of booth tables, but no tatami rooms. Take-out is excellent, too.

I got the Korean BBQ and beer combo with a bowl of sunomono. The sunomono was really good and the portions are large. The chicken tasted really good but was kinda dry.

Yesterday I visited here. It was a great experience for me. Because the food here was very delicious and they were very friendly. The village was peaceful and if I had any additional vacation, I would definitely revisit.Thank you. Seh-mi :)

The food was the best I have eaten in CV in a long time...everything was delicious and reasonably priced! We had takeout and the bento boxes were very well packaged...I will definitely be going back, and recommend this restaurant to my friends!

Best sushi in town. Crunchy spicy tuna roll is 🤌🏼 don buri and ton katsu both delish. Cheese agadashi and tofu are amazing. Very reasonably priced. Great atmosphere, excellent service. A must try place in town. You won't be disappointed

The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful and welcoming. Service is very good, they remember people very well. The food is very yummy, very scrumptious.

Highly recommend their Shirley temples.

Seh-mi is a delicious restaurant. I have a usual order and I can always bank on the food being amazing every single time. Each staff member I’ve interacted with, whether it be for pick-up or dine-in, have been super kind & sweet. I definitely recommend trying Seh-mi!
