Group of 12 golfers came in without a reservation and were accommodated and seated right beside us. They were very loud and we cut our birthday celebration short. The food was average (my salmon was overcooked) and the experience was below our expectations. The price and quality are not worth a return visit.
We have eaten numerous times at Crown Isle but this time the food was definitely sub-par. Firstly, they were out of the daily special which was a steak sandwich. Two of our party ordered beef dips. They were small and had minimal beef. There was supposed to be cheese and onions on the sandwich and there was nothing but 2 or 3 small pieces of beef. This was nothing like the beef dips previously ordered. Service was exceptionally slow. We waited over 10 minutes to place a drink order and the drinks took another 15+ minutes to be brought to us - and only after we asked the server to check on our order. NOT a good experience! If this was my first time there I would NOT return.
We have been visiting Courtenay for years. The food at Timber Room has improved considerably. We now live in Courtenay and anticipate becoming regulars.
Upon our arrival there were people seated at the table we had requested...had to sit in other location not as nice. Food took a long time but was very good
Wonderful place. Service and food was excellent.
We ordered two steak dinners: one was delicious and tender and the other was quite grisly and tough.
Nice spot. Reasonable food and service

Food was just ok, nothing to rave about at all. My husband had a cold meal (it was the chicken parm special tonight) but didn't say anything to our server as it was a family Easter dinner so he didn't want to make waves but in hindsight should have mentioned it to her.
The food is good, and fairly priced. This is not fine dining; it's a golf club dining room. However, the service is usually prompt and professional and we enjoy dining here. BTW, the prime rib special on Friday and Saturday nights is great.
Enjoyed our breakfast today at Crown Isle- great service and food, Ried our waiter was awesome with our menu needs

The Timber Room is a lovely setting and we were obviously not the only ones to think so. It was very busy, and hence, quite noisy. Apart from its enthusiastic clientele, we had a delicious meal, reasonably priced and served promptly with a smile. We will be back!
We stopped by the Timber bar at the golf course for happy hour and were thoroughly impressed! The nachos were a standout - not only were they delicious, but the generous portion size and affordable price made them an unbeatable value. We grabbed a seat by the window on a cloudy day, but still enjoyed a lovely view. Really, though, anywhere you sit is great - the cozy decor makes every spot feel welcoming and comfortable.
Two very senior couples celebrated their wives birthdays. The window table was as requested. With the exception of the Korean Rice Bowl, the meals were excellent. Our server, Reid was friendly and attentive ... exceptional. Knowing it was a double birthday celebration, he brought a delicious desert which we shared. We were there over three hours! Both couples came from a distance and were unfamiliar with Crown Isle. It was a challenge to find the restaurant. Signage would be helpful.
First visit in Over 10 years. Timber room furniture looks worn and needs updating or a good clean. Male washroom smelt of urine which was off-putting and we nearly didn't stay to eat. Save in grace was the service and food. The servers were polite and very efficient, the food was tasty and plenty full.
The food was sooo good, the service was friendly, and we loved the atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
