We always try to stop here to pick up some great food to enjoy on the ferry ride. It has been a thing for us for many years, and the food is always great. The couple who run the place are very friendly and never make a mistake on our order. We have eaten in the restaurant as well and had their buffet which was good value. We made a reservation for 4 as I read we might need to since another reviewer said it gets busy but there was only one other party there, albeit it was 12:30pm on a Sunday.Very friendly host, which I assume was the owner.We ordered spring rolls, shrimp dumplings, beef and garlic in black bean sauce, sweet and sour pork, and mushroom chow mein.All very tasty, it was worth the hour drive from Creston.
A hidden gem on the East Shore. It could be the best Chinese food we have ever had. The meal for 5 was a great sampling of dishes and more than enough food for a group of four adults and two teenagers. Well worth the drive from Nelson, Creston or anywhere in between!
