This place has great food and is super kid friendly. They’ve got a little park for them to play at and lots of outdoor seating. Never been disappointed by anything I’ve ate here.

I'm not sure there is any cafe/restaurant that so perfectly embodies the West Kootenays as the Frog Peak. Quirky, fun, and bursting with rustic charm. One of my favorite things about this place is that it has ample outside dining, with a large play space for kids. Parents and caregivers can come, sit down, enjoy a meal or cup of coffee and their little ones can play freely. Unfortunately, their operating hours are pretty limited (small town life) So definitely be sure to check that they're open before you make the trip out. Oh, and make sure to grab a slice of their infamous key lime pie.

The place is cool but the prices are insane for the small plate they give. For 15 dollars for kids you get one waffle and 1 piece of bacon. I also ordered a matcha latte and they used way too hot of water which makes it taste and smell like fish. Unfortunately we were already on the road when I tried it so that was 9 bucks down the drain. Probably wouldn't go back but it's cute otherwise.
