Yes great food, atmosphere and servers BUT PLEASE bring the cat back!!! We had a family dinner and spent over 250 bucks and had MICE running over our feet !! Not a pleasant experience for any of us , let alone our out of town guests . I felt bad for the servers having to make excuses for the “ poisoned mice who were
Running around dazed and confused. GROSS !
The dam inn has changed ownership since the last time I was in. It seems to have improved. A bit out of the way for myself so I don't get out there much. But, it's looking promising.
Went for a Father's Day lunch with my wife, daughter and her boyfriend. Amazingly we got a table right away. They were busy but the service was great and we had food in a timely manner.
We all enjoyed our visit and our meals.

The Dam Restaurant & Bar is a lively place, even on wing nights. Despite the busy crowds, food arrives quickly and tastes great. The restaurant has a cozy, Kootenay feel, with cedar decking and clean picnic tables. They serve beer in frosty pint glasses. The Nachos are especially large and worth the money, with a half order being very filling. The wings have gotten much better, now at least twice as big as before and cooked perfectly every time. The poutine is also very good for pub style, topped generously with cheese curds. The staff handle any issues graciously and are always friendly, making it a favorite neighborhood spot. They now offer gluten free bread, yam fries, and dairy free cheese, which shows their effort to cater to different diets. Although they were out of dairy free cheese when tried, it was still appreciated to find a place that accommodates dietary needs. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, and while some dishes like roasted beans with chili sauce may not appeal to everyone, the overall food quality remains high. The service is energetic and friendly, with staff members who know the menu well, making visitors want to return again and again.
