If I had to describe this place in one word, it would be “authentic”. The food here is a fantastic blend of restaurant style and home style, and tastes truly fantastic. The mood inside was warm and comforting. The staff were kind and helpful with all of our questions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of going. Just make sure to make reservations on the weekends as it does fill up.

If I lived in Creston, I would never cook. I would eat here every day.I had the Thai noodle bowl, hubby had fish and chips. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding. Also purchased Lemon Lavender cheesecake and apple cake with sticky toffee sauce for dessert the next day in our rv.I had some leftover Thai noodle bowl and it was even better the next day!Love finding these gems while traveling!

We were excited to go here and loved their patio but were disappointed in the menu. In particular we wanted spaghetti with meatballs but were told they were out of meatballs. Understanding, we said that was fine but just then wanted spaghetti with sauce but without cream in it (it was highlighted as creamy). They could not offer tomato sauce or pasta sauce without cream. This seems very standard as an option anywhere. Then as we went through the menu there was nothing without seafood or cream/fat so I had to have the cook make me a bland sandwich with salad and some chicken on it and was charged full amount as if it was a normal menu item. I had to go get more food elsewhere as I was still hungry. We wouldn’t go back as this seemed like a minor food request to handle and we have never had an issue with this at any other restaurant. The other two meals were ok but nothing special.

A lovely and cozy gem! Excellent food, great quality, with some varied specials! Little nooks of tables indoors, with a patio outdoors. Great and courteous staff! There is a fairly steep set of stairs down from the entrance, for anyone with mobility concerns. Wide and with rails, just take your time!

We were going to be passing through Creston about lunch time and this is yet another gem we never would have come across without earlier Yelp reviews. The building doesn't look like much besides an old building with a sign "Good Food Cafe." We went down the stairs inside the building and were offered to select any seat inside or on the patio. We chose to sit outdoors with the flowers and cute tea cup decor. We had the quince lemonade and it was fabulously refreshing. What a brilliant beverage! For lunch, my lunch partner had the Grown Up Grilled Cheese. That ciabatta bun was soft and had cheese on both sides. The chutney inside made it so good, he didn't share a bite with me. He had the special of tomato basil soup on the side. Again, another hit! I had the special of peach BBQ chicken wrap. I expected it to be warm, but it was cold, which turned out to be even better than I had anticipated. It was crisp, a little sweet, but full of flavor. I had a side of fries and asked for them to be "poutined" to which the [owner?] pointed to the menu and asked if I knew they have a different style of poutine. Coconut curry poutine? Oh yes! I could barely finish my lunch but it was amazing. If there was a lunch place like this near where I live, they would take ALL my money!Fast, friendly service, and excellent food.
